Asmag strong

Asmag forte is a drug used in the treatment of magnesium deficiency. Magnesium as the active substance of the preparation is involved in various metabolic changes in the body. Magnesium deficiency in the body causes, among other things, muscle tremors, general weakness and dizziness. Overdosing the preparation may have a laxative effect. The drug is in the form of tablets for oral administration and is available without a prescription.

Asmag forte – indications and dosage of the drug

Asmag forte is a preparation recommended for use in the case of magnesium deficiency in the body.

Use of the drug

Asmag forte is in the form of tablets to be taken by mouth. The drug should be taken after a meal.

1. Adults. 1-2 tablets 3 × / d.

Asmag forte and contraindications

Contraindications to the use of Asmag forte are:

1. antibiotic therapy,
2. atrioventricular conduction disorders,
3. bradycardia,
4. myasthenia gravis,
5. diarrhea,
6. allergy to any ingredient of the preparation,
7. hypermagnesemia,
8. severe renal failure (creatinine clearance <30 ml / min).

Asmag forte – warnings about the drug

1. Patients with hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, the lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take Asmag forte.
2. Do not use the preparation in people with impaired renal function.
3. Before using the preparation during pregnancy or breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted.
4. An overdose of the drug may have a laxative effect.
5. Taking the preparation according to the recommendations has no influence on the ability to drive and use machines.

Asmag forte and other substances

Using Asmag forte with:

1. antibiotics from the tetracycline group,
2. oral anticoagulants (hydroxycoumarin derivatives),
3. preparations containing phosphates or compounds of calcium and iron

leads to a mutual reduction in absorption from the gastrointestinal tract.

Asmag forte – side effects

Taking more Asmag forte than the recommended dose may lead to:

1. diarrhea
2. nausea,
3. vomiting.
