If the Asko washing machine breaks down, but at the same time gives an error code on the display, then informing the master or decoding it yourself, you can quickly fix the problem.
Often with their help, the washing machine signals blockages and frivolous problems that you can fix with your own hands. Below we will look at what each code means, why the machine shows it on the display, and how to fix the breakdown that caused the error.
E01
Motor fault E01 lights up when the motor is malfunctioning.
If the machine gives an error E01, there was a breakdown in the power supply circuit of the electric motor – the triac, reverse relay, contacts, and even the motor itself could fail.
The tachogenerator needs to be checked.
If all of the above parts are working and do not need to be replaced, the problem must be sought in the control unit and changed completely.
E02 Warter inlet fault Water is not poured into the system or flows slowly enough.
If E02 is displayed on the CM display, it means that there is not enough water in the tank for the selected washing mode.
This defect is caused by one or more of the following reasons:
- Water is not poured from the water supply system.
- There are defective areas on the intake valve.
- The water inlet hose is damaged or clogged.
- The electronic controller has failed.
- The operation of the pressure switch (level sensor) is disrupted.
E03 Draining fault Water is not draining from the system, or the draining process takes longer than usual.
These fault codes indicate that the connecting circuits between the board and the pump are broken.
At the moment the pump is turned on, the voltage on the contacts is checked, or the pump itself is checked – for this, a voltage of 220V is applied to it.
A check of the connection circuit (wiring) between the pump and the module is also required.
In models that generate an E03 error, the pressure switch and the integrity of the wiring connecting the sensor to the control module are also checked.
The voltage is checked if the tank is empty – a working sensor will give the tester readings of less than 0,6V at the time of the intended launch.
If the indicator is 0,6 or higher, then the pressure switch must be replaced.
Additionally: it does not hurt to check the drain system (hoses, filter) for blockage.
In rare cases, the control unit needs to be replaced.
E04 Not enough water is supplied to the machine to start washing. You can remove the E04 error by neutralizing the causes of the breakdown:
- Low pressure in the water supply (call a plumber).
- The drain system is clogged – in the area of uXNUMXbuXNUMXbthe filter, pipe or hose.
E05 Washing machine Asco washes in cold water.
Which means: washing goes completely in cold water.
What to do: check the temperature sensor, thermal heater and their wiring.
Also, the failure of the module is not ruled out.
E06 Water is not heated to the required level.
Error code E06 lights up if the temperature of the washing water has not reached the required level.
As with error E05, you need to check the heater, temperature sensor and their circuits. The control unit may need to be repaired or replaced.
Floaming (not on all models) The machine shows an error if it detects excessive foaming.
You should select the “Rinse” mode to reduce foaming in the tank.
To avoid the problem again, use the following solution to the problem:
a) observe the norm of washing means;
b) use high quality powders with reduced foaming.
Overfilling Over flow An excess of water level has been detected in the tank.
With such errors, the first thing to do is to check if the water intake valve is broken.
The following culprits of the breakdown are the pressure switch and the module. The drain pump should also be checked if it does not drain water during overflow.
Thermistor fault The temperature sensor (thermistor) is broken.
It is possible that the sensor contacts were broken or there was a short circuit.
It is required to check the sensor with a tester for resistance and replace it in case of breakage.
Pressure sensor error The pressure switch is broken. How to fix: check the sensor itself and its connecting tube. Door lock fault If this error is lit on the display, it means that there is a defect in the hatch lock.
Try again to close the hatch properly to reset the errors. If this does not help, you need to check the blocker and replace it if it breaks.
Lastly, the CMA control unit is checked.
Everything you need to know in order to respond in time to the breakdown of the Asko washing machine, we have reported. Now, when a fault code is found, your task is to correctly recognize it and report it to the master.
