Asian Sweet & Sour Spicy Dressing

Sometimes you want something unusual. In my case, these are Asian flavors. For example, a dressing that combines sour, sweet and spicy is perfect for cucumber salad.

Ingredients: a teaspoon of honey, two teaspoons of quality soy sauce (for example, Bionica Organic Market’s Bio Tamari Soy Sauce, lime, 4 tablespoons of sesame oil, a quarter chilli if desired, and a handful of sesame seeds.

Preparation:

Dilute honey in a little hot drinking water, add soy sauce, sesame oil, squeeze out the lime juice (before cutting the lime in half, roll it on the table, pressing hard with your palm: this will make the juice squeeze out easier). Mix everything thoroughly. For a spicier sauce, add finely chopped chili peppers. And for beauty – sesame seeds.

Studies have shown that sesame oil lowers blood pressure and glucose levels. Sesame seeds contain powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory substances known to be beneficial in combating cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis. Sesame seeds help our bodies defend against DNA damage from radiation that we are all exposed to outdoors and indoors. Calcium, which is very rich in sesame seeds, is a powerful tool in the fight against osteoporosis. And the fiber in sesame seeds is important for gut health. In addition to calcium, sesame seeds are very rich in magnesium, phosphorus and potassium, as well as vitamin A and group B. It is believed that sesame oil relieves pain in a number of diseases, reduces stress and normalizes cholesterol levels. And in general, it cleanses the body.
