Other people who were hit by the third dose were of a similar opinion.

«Once I did not have time to react and the movie was cut off»

Agata belongs to the 30+ group. Of all our interlocutors, she had the worst experience after the third injection. However, as she says herself, it is… good. «Fortunately, I was swept away! I am sure that I did not come across a fake vaccine, and this is what I was afraid of in the context of recent media reports ».

She made an appointment for the vaccination early Monday morning. She had two doses of Moderna behind her, now Pfizer was waiting for her. After the first and second doses, she developed a low-grade fever (38 degrees C), her head and body ached. The third injection did not cause any symptoms at first.

– After the vaccination I felt fine, normal. It’s been 12 hours and it’s been quiet. During the night it turned out to be premature joy. I woke up before 5 on Tuesday, I had a high fever and severe chills. Covering with an additional blanket did not help, I decided to get up for an extra sweatshirt, went to drink some water. My head was dizzy, I had spots in front of my eyes, I felt faint. I’ve had fainting before, so I know that feeling – that’s when it hit me. Several times I felt as if it was about to “cut me off”, so I quickly lay down on the floor and tried to normalize my breathing. Once I didn’t have time to react and the movie was cut off, so for a few moments I woke up on the floor. The fever was so high that when I got up I could barely stand on my feet, and I wanted to make it safely back to bed. When I managed to do it after a dozen or so minutes, I fell asleep in the bedroom for several hours. Later, for the rest of the day, I had nausea, dizziness and a headache. On Wednesday, all symptoms subsided as he took his hand away. Throughout Tuesday I kept telling myself, “hold on until tomorrow, it will pass tomorrow, the body is struggling” and that “you are vaccinated, this is the most important information”. I have a one-day fever somewhere, I don’t want a respirator.

The third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine also took its toll on Ania. Three doses of Moderna cut her bias for exactly 24 hours. However, this did not discourage her from vaccinating – a few days later she was with her 8-year-old son at the point of vaccination. For her, as well as for Agata, unpleasant sensations were simply “included in the costs” and she preferred to feel bad for a moment, not to be afraid of the severe course of the infection later.

– After the third dose, my hand started to hurt immediately – reports Ania. —I had the vaccination at 16pm and I was in pain right away. Over the next few hours, I started to feel worse, I felt very tired, a slight headache. The next day I got up for duty at 6, I literally managed to do two things and that was my whole intellectual feat that day. I got a temperature above 38 degrees C, I had nausea, a headache, a general feeling of crash, chills and half of my brain was gone. I couldn’t focus on anything, sit down or sleep. Then my whole body started to ache like a flu, and so it lasted evenly until 16pm – as he took off with his hand. Only a slight sore hand remained. 16 taken from the curriculum vitae. I vaccinated with Moderna three times.

“24 hours of massacre”, “Like after a few beers”

Jacek is 35 years old and physically active. He had two Pfizer vaccinations behind him, now it’s time for Moderna. The previous doses did not impress him much, so he did not expect any major sensations now. However, it turned out that the third dose was less enjoyable.

– After the first dose, I was slightly dizzy for 15 minutes and that’s it. The second one didn’t touch me at all. As recommended, I figured I’d go upgrade with the third dose. I arrived at about 19.40 and at the beginning it was OK. When I went to bed around 1 am, my arm hurt, but other than that, I only had a slight feeling of crash. Following the doctor’s instructions, I took two paracetamols and fell asleep. Around 6 am I woke up from 39 degrees C and from that moment the fun started. Throughout the day, I had fever, dizziness, muscle pain, hand pain, and temperature in sequence. I felt like I was on a heavy hangover all day, and at 23, again 38,5 degrees Celsius. Then it let go. 24 hours of massacre – he confesses.

– I took my dose at 16.50:XNUMX pm. There was absolutely nothing to me that day. For it the next day I felt drunk. I felt like I was after a few beers. After one day, I woke up “sober” in the morning. The impression was strange.

“I was afraid it would get worse”

The symptoms after the third dose were not so severe in all our interlocutors. Some describe them as rather moderate.

– I took the third dose on Monday around noon. I was sure I would be fine. After the first two doses, I had no side effects. However, on Tuesday, I started to feel worse – weakness, muscle pain, headache and a slightly elevated temperature. I was broken. The next day I had a headache and a breakdown, I was no longer feverish – says Alek, who took three doses of Pfizer.

In turn, in Arek, who was vaccinated first with AstraZeneca, and then with Pfizer, the main symptom was swelling and pain in the arm.

– I had the first two doses of AstraZeneca, so you know what it was like … After the first I lay barely alive the next day, without strength even in the bathroom and with a fever. After the second, I also felt bad, but it was better than after the first, although I did not feel bad for one day, but for three. And now I had a Pfizer. On the second day I felt my hand swollen and intensifying pain. The hand was very tender for 2-3 days after which it gradually started to come off. At the same time, after my arm stopped hurting, the lymph nodes in my armpit on the left side increased for the next 2-3 days. And they also hurt, so when I moved my hand, I felt something was wrong. However, I was basically afraid that it would be worse – reports Arek.

Bartłomiej, who was first vaccinated with Pfizer, and now with Moderna, also mentions his third dose.

– On the day of my vaccinations (which I had in the morning), they showed up for me slight dizziness, then numbness of the half of the body, tingling in the arm and leg on the vaccination side, muscle pain until the evening and general depression. The night and the second day was just a strong pain in my arm, I couldn’t raise my hand above my head. The pain subsided only two days after vaccination, he adds.

Kamil, in turn, experienced mainly temperature jumps. However, it was not a fever – in the worst moment he was 37,1 degrees C. However, he was accompanied by a feeling of cold and hot – alternately.

– In the morning everything was OK, but in the evening I started to feel cold, I had some chills, but it was not bothersome enough to take paracetamol. The next morning, I was perpetually too warm, but in the afternoon everything returned to normal. To make it more interesting, I had no problems after the first two doses.

Tomek vaccinated himself with Pfizer three times. After the first two doses, his neck felt numb and his shoulder ached.

– The third time it was such a strong flu, with the temperature at 37,2 – 37,3 degrees C. My muscles and joints ached, I was cold, I also had chills and night sweats. In the morning, all these symptoms passed. The symptoms started appearing the day after vaccination (first they were muscle aches). 24 hours later I got chills, sweating and a general feeling of being unwell.

NOPs after the third dose. It is worth knowing

It is perfectly natural to feel unwell after taking the vaccine, whether it is an anti-COVID-19 preparation or anything else. Moreover, the stronger the symptoms, the better the immune system response, i.e. the more antibodies will be produced. This is why people younger than seniors complain about ailments after vaccination more often. In them, the immune system usually works better.

It is also normal to feel unwell only after the third dose, although the previous two “survived” without much sensation.

If we had previously, as a society, commonly vaccinated against flu, for example, we would know that in fact such symptoms not only occur, but their appearance is natural – explained the doctor in an interview with Medonet. Bartosz Fiałek. – However, before the COVID-19 pandemic, the vaccination rate against influenza in Poland was 4%, while, for example, in the Netherlands it was 70%. We simply do not know what symptoms can occur after vaccination because we do not use them. Just.

Most of our interlocutors took the third dose in the afternoon – including Ania, who was quite ill with the injection. This is also a natural phenomenon in the light of recent research. Researchers from Oxford and Harvard concluded that in those vaccinated between 15 and 21, the immune response was strongest. This means that when we take the preparation in the afternoon or evening, we may feel worse, but our resistance to coronavirus will be higher.
