Contrary to appearances, arthritis is not only a disease of the elderly, although in fact people in this age group suffer from it most often. Arthritis is also called gout and gout. Both men and women can get sick with it, and for many years it may not cause disease symptoms. It is most often diagnosed after a sudden attack of severe pain in the base of the big toe joint. Arthritis can eventually spread to all joints.
Arthritis – symptoms
Arthritis has symptoms similar to arthritis, and even arthritis itself can be a symptom of arthritis. It is important to have uric acid levels checked in diagnosing arthritis. When it is too high, then we are definitely dealing with arthritis. Other symptoms of arthritis include:
- severe and sudden pain in the joints
- fever,
- weakness,
- swelling and tight skin around the joints,
- changes in the urinary system, e.g. inflammation of the kidneys,
- chronic arthritis,
- tophus,
- weight loss,
- mobility problems.
The symptoms of arthritis may look like other diseases at first, so the diagnosis checks the number of common symptoms and uric acid levels to make sure it is gout and not another joint disease. The more symptoms a person has, the more likely they are to be arthritis.
To alleviate pain symptoms and stiffness, use a glucosamine cream for muscles and joints or a horse ointment from Medonet Market. You can also massage hemp milk into the skin, which in addition to relieving pain, supports skin regeneration.
Arthritis – causes
Cause primary arthritis is too much uric acid in the blood. Uric acid begins to crystallize in it, and crystals build up in the joints, forming growths. Over time, they become larger and sharper, injuring the periarticular tissue and causing joint inflammation. The inflammation itself may also have other causes, such as mechanical trauma, which is why it is so important to check the level of uric acid. Unfortunately, it is not known why the body suddenly begins to produce too much uric acid that could harm the body.
In turn, secondary arthritis has other causes. It can be the result of radiation, leukemia, kidney disease, or even alcohol or drug abuse, overeating, and poorly matched weight loss treatment – usually too restrictive and leading to a sudden weight loss. Arthritis also occurs in type 2 diabetes, overweight and abdominal obesity and hypertension.
Arthritis – treatment
Treatment of arthritis is long-term because it is a chronic and incurable disease. In arthritis, the most important thing is to prevent the disease from worsening and its symptoms, such as a gout attack. A diet that includes foods that do not increase the production of uric acid and even lower its level, or that are diuretic and dilute urine, allow you to quickly excrete uric acid from the body is very important.
For arthritis-related pains, it is worth using tansy flower externally.
Medications are also important in the treatment of arthritis. The most common are anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesics and diuretics. Some people also benefit from physical therapy, which allows the patient and joints to move properly in such a way that they do not stiffen and that performing simple activities does not cause pain. The form of physiotherapy is selected individually according to the patient’s condition.
As an aid in the treatment of arthritis, for example, Ashwagandha Root, which can be drunk in the form of tea.
Arthritis – diet
It is important to maintain a proper diet when treating arthritis. It should stop pain attacks and tissue damage. The diet should consist primarily of fruits and vegetables, including apples, strawberries, tomatoes, potatoes, carrots, and sauerkraut. It is important to use products such as wholemeal bread, groats, dairy products, pasta and eggs.
People with arthritis should give up alcohol completely. It is not recommended to eat baked and fried products, pork, but also chocolate. It is worth remembering to take foods rich in vitamin C and drink at least two liters of mineral water a day.
