Aromatic rosehip liqueur

Fresh, dried, frozen or dried berries are suitable for making homemade rosehip liqueur. The best option is dried or dried fruits, the drink is richer. Fresh berries should be washed well, frozen ones should be thawed and dried to remove excess moisture.

The alcohol base is vodka, ethyl alcohol diluted to 40-45 degrees, inexpensive cognac (interesting notes of oak appear) or moonshine. In the latter case, I recommend pre-cleaning the distillate with charcoal or in any other way to remove the unpleasant odor that interrupts the aroma of the liquor.

Ingredients:

  • rosehip berries – 700 grams of fresh or 500 grams of dried (dried);
  • sugar – 400 gram;
  • vodka (alcohol, cognac) – 0,5 liters.
