Parents: The character of Antoine (a bachelor party who knows nothing about children Editor’s note) is it inspired by your own life?
Arnaud Ducret: No ! Even before having Oscar (5 and a half years old), I had experience with my nephew Hugo and younger, I worked in a leisure center. I have alwaysurs know that I would love children, not like the character in the film who does not understand them at all and will take time to discover that he adores them.
On the other hand, the scenario follows a little the course of my life. When I was 21-22 years old and I was in Cours Florent, I lived in a roommate with three friends in Paris. And it was, how to put it? The slip party! I still like to have fun, but I have become more responsible.
What do you prefer to do with your little boy?
A.D. : The fray ! From 7 am, when he wakes up! But above all, I like to go one-on-one with him. We stay at the hotel, I take him to do lots of activities. I have a very busy schedule, so I want to block those days two or three times a year to devote myself entirely to him. We go “between guys” and like that, the mother (Maurine Nicot, met on the set of the Star Academy, Editor’s note) can breathe… My parents are separated so I remember moments of complicity alone with my father , that must influence me too.

A.D. : When I’m there at night, I tell stories with lots of mouth sound effects, that’s my specialty and Oscar loves it. But when he was little, he did not fall asleep easily. Cracking moments, do they happen to you?
A.D. : When I hear myself talking to Oscar, I think I hear my mother: “You don’t realize how much you have, me at your age…”. At least my partner and I agree on the majority of the subjects, homeopathic medicine, private school, making Oscar understand that work is not a joke (despite appearances when he sees me on TV !). On the other hand, there are times when I fail to control the situation in public and Oscar does not listen to what I say.
