About the manufacturer
JSC ALVIZ (Arkhangelsk distillery) was founded in 1899, located on the banks of the Northern Dvina. The main red brick building was erected by decree of the Minister of Finance Witte – then about five hundred factories were built in Russia, today only 6 of them are working. The enterprise, which was then called the State Wine Warehouse, produced its first products in 1901. A museum has been created at the plant, and the territory itself is protected as an object of cultural heritage.
ALVIZ produces balsams, fortified wines, tinctures and 10 types of vodka – annually 900 thousand decalitres of alcoholic beverages. Since 2006, the enterprise has been part of the Synergy company (since 2017 – BELUGA GROUP), the largest producer of Russian alcohol. The enterprises of the alcohol giant produce 15 million deciliters of alcoholic beverages per year, Beluga Group is one of the fastest growing enterprises in Russia and is in the TOP-30 largest taxpayers in the country. In addition to producing its own drinks and developing new brands, the company is the largest distributor of imported drinks in Russia and an authorized representative of the Scottish company William Grant & Sons.

- The unique taste of vodka is formed due to the unusual composition of the components: the recipe contains alcohol tinctures of Icelandic cetraria, lingonberry leaves, swamp cinquefoil, kelp, deer antlers.
- Spring water for the drink goes through three stages of purification: mechanical, electrochemical and with the help of carbon filters.
- After combining all the ingredients, the drink goes to the final stage: it settles for two weeks in the so-called “finishing” vats, which are more than a hundred years old.
