Aristov

“Aristov” (Aristov) – champagne, developed by the specialists of “Kuban-Vino” together with colleagues from Italy. The production uses the company’s own grapes grown on the Taman Peninsula. There are four types of champagne in the line, and premium varieties are aged in a bottle using French technology. The brand was named after one of the owners of the company – Alexander Aristov.

Historical information

The Kuban-Vino plant has been operating in the village of Starotitarovskaya since 1956. A small grape processing facility has grown into a full-cycle enterprise with its own vineyards with a total area of more than 12 hectares. The company has been cooperating for many years with specialists from the French Institute of Oenology, who are actively involved in the development of new recipes. The factory has been producing champagne since 2006. Two methods of making sparkling wines are used – reservoir and classic, with aging in the bottle.

Champagne “Aristov” appeared in 2016 as a result of the joint work of “Kuban-Vino” and the Italian company Enofly. The head of the company and oenologist Luca Zavarise suggested that Russian winemakers create their own analogue of Prosecco from grapes growing on the Taman Peninsula. This was made possible thanks to the acclimatization of varieties imported from Italy, where the Glera variety is traditionally used to make prosecco.

The basis for the production of Aristov sparkling wine is Pinot Blanc, Bianca, Muller Thurgau, Muscat, Saperavi. Fermentation in tanks lasts at least three weeks, fermentation in the bottle – up to 9 months.

Modern equipment allows the company’s specialists to create sparkling wines that can compete with the products of European manufacturers. Already in 2016, Aristov Brut Rose champagne was recognized as the best in its class at the summit of winemakers held in Abrau-Durso.
