Argan oil is an oil produced from the fruit of iron argan, an endemic tree species found only in the south of Morocco, widely used in cosmetics, food products and dietary supplements.
Thanks to the high content of vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids, argan oil has moisturizing and smoothing properties, works well in the care of dry, flaky and mature skin, improves skin elasticity and firmness. Dermatologists disagree about the effectiveness of argan oil in treating acne lesions. Due to the relatively high price, agran oil is a component of creams, lotions and shampoos from the so-called “High-end”.
Argan oil may cause allergy in people allergic to nuts.
