Are you suffering from allergies? Discover 8 tricks that will help you soothe it!

Allergy is no joke – sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, headache … All this effectively makes life difficult. Unfortunately, this process can last all year round, when pollinating plants in January or November are allergic. The most important thing is to conduct allergy tests that will help determine what is allergic, but in addition to this, you can follow a few simple patents. Check how you can help yourself!

  1. Get rid of allergens – when you get home, wash your face, preferably change your clothes and take a shower. Thanks to this, everything that “came with you” will be removed, thanks to which you will feel a significant relief at home.
  2. Clean, clean and clean again – although this advice will not appeal to those who like to live in disorder, it is precisely vacuuming and wiping these nuisance allergens from furniture and floors that can bring you real relief. You bring them home with you on your clothes or shoes, which is why you can still experience allergy symptoms despite being indoors. For people allergic to dust, a special HEPA vacuum cleaner will be the best. It is also important to replace the filters both at home and in the car. Special filters for allergy sufferers are also available.
  3. Close the window – although the spring breeze can be pleasant, don’t let it in. With it, you will get the unpleasant effects of plant dusting. The evening should be the time for walks, preferably after rain, which reduces the amount of allergens in the air.
  4. Start wearing a mask – surgical, such as those worn, for example, on the streets in Japan. Especially when you have to stay in places such as a forest or a meadow. Don’t worry about other people’s opinions, because such a disposable, inconspicuous mask with a filter inhibits as much as 95% of allergens! You will find it at the pharmacy.
  5. Follow the right diet – eat plenty of fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts. Studies have shown that especially apples, tomatoes, grapes and oranges relieve allergy symptoms. Also, if you suffer from stuffy nose or sinuses, try to drink more fluids. Of course, this is not about coffee and alcohol, which dehydrate instead of hydrate, water and juices will be the best. Moisturizing the mucous membrane will bring relief from a runny nose.
  6. Do inhalations – this is the easiest way to clean your sinuses and help remove nasal secretions. Sit over a bowl of hot water, cover your head with a towel and breathe. It is good to perform this procedure up to several times a day.
  7. Rinse your nose – With saline, which you can buy at any pharmacy, you can clean your nose and eyes. In addition, there are also special kits for rinsing the nose, as well as lubricating eye drops, which you should use every time you return home.
  8. Do not smoke – if you smoke cigarettes, be sure to limit or quit, because cigarette smoke increases allergy symptoms. It irritates the mucous membrane, intensifying the feeling of stuffy nose, watery eyes or itching. If you are not a smoker, be sure to avoid smoky places.
