​​​​​​​Business and affiliate communication are two different worlds, and when they collide, misunderstandings often occur.

In affiliative communication, people communicate not for business, but for the soul, when they just want to talk without thinking about any goal or result. Such communication is internally very necessary, but often irritates adults and business people: “Tell me, in the end, what do you want from me?”

Business communication has a different, strict and business-like format and is associated with certain goals: to understand, to agree. Business communication is conscious of the result and avoids everything that distracts from the result: first of all, it avoids unnecessary emotions and the habit of “just talking”. Business communication with its slogan «Nothing personal!» — a special art, not everyone knows it, and for many, the business format is simply not close.

When business communication takes place outside of work, it usually stresses women (“Listen, can I ever relax with you?”, And the children just try to run away.

To avoid dissatisfaction and misunderstandings, warn in what style of communication you are going to communicate.

“Yes, I just missed you, I want to chat with you!” or “I have a serious question for you. Do you have time to discuss?

If in the process of communication the partner gets lost, do not get angry, do not be offended and do not blame, but ask for what you need (the desired communication style) and make sure that the partner really heard you.

“Native, please don’t find fault with words, I just want to talk to you!” or “I would like to change the style of conversation to a more businesslike one. Is it possible?
