Is it worth buying a steamer?
id=»h23″>
Usually, the scheme is the same: you dream about a steamer, you wonder what to choose, in your mind you already see yourself eating a healthy, steamed meal every day, thanks to which you feel healthier and slimmer. The reality is a bit different. At the beginning, you are actually still full of enthusiasm – you steam what you can, embarrassing the rest of the household. Ultimately, you have to do 2 courses at least a few days a week – because your husband rebels. You keep this state of affairs, but in the end you give up, because, first of all, how to find time for it all, and secondly – you just get bored of the steamer dishes and more and more often you stay with the version of the dinner prepared for your husband. The adventure with the steamer ends with the fact that from time to time you steam vegetables on it for dinner or warm something up. Was it like that for you too?

I wrote about how to choose a steamer and why it is worth pairing in one of the previous articles: You will lose weight thanks to … steam! Id = »h23 ″>

Are steamer dishes healthy?
id=»h23″>
Regular replacement of other heat treatment methods with evaporation will certainly benefit us. There are many advantages. First of all, steaming is about protecting your vitamins. Food that is not immersed in any sauce or water retains the maximum amount of beneficial ingredients.
id=»h23″>
id=»h23″>
Vitamin C losses when boiled in water amount to about 70%, and when steamed, only 40%.
id=»h23″>
id=»h23″>
In addition, steamed foods are better digestible, usually less caloric, and have a deeper, natural flavor and aroma. Importantly, this method of cooking also saves time. You do not need to be careful that something does not burn or boil over. We just put the dish on the right program and do something else.

The most popular steamed dish is fish fillet or chicken breast with vegetables. However, if we did not make such a dish (various marinades or sauces) sooner or later we would rather get bored of it. Here are a few of my favorite steamer recipes to add variety to this situation:
