In recent weeks, it has not been difficult to come across an advertisement for Winiary sauce. Most of us have heard the phrase at least once: Once again I will get the food without the sauce and I will go out of my way!id = »h24 ″> These words and the image of the offended girl speak for themselves. The advertisement aims to make the children watching it code that a dinner without sauce is not a dinner, and parents began to wonder if maybe it would actually be better with the sauce … . Will it be good for our health? I will prove in a moment that it is not.

Are bag sauces harmful?

id=»h24″>

I looked through the ingredients of the first best Winiary sauce I came across in the store. It was dark roasting sauceid=»h24″>:

id=»h24″>

Compositionid = »h24 ″>: wheat flour, potato starch, modified starch, salt, dried vegetables, flavors (with gluten, soy), sugar, yeast extracts, fully hardened palm oil, palm oil, rice flour, color (ammonia caramel) , wheat protein hydrolyzate, spices, citric acid.

id=»h24″>

Content salt and sugar id = »h24 ″> in the sauces in question is quite high, but that’s not what should worry us the most. Of course, the addition of both salt and sugar in the diet, and most importantly in the diet of children, should be minimized. In excess, they can cause many diseases, from high blood pressure to cancer. However, other extras are definitely worse: Ammonia caramel, fully hardened palm fat and palm oil.id=»h24″>

id=»h24″>

  • Caramel ammoniaid = »h24 ″> id = »h24 ″> is a natural, chemically modified dye. It is obtained by heating sugars (glucose, fructose, sucrose, dextrose) in the presence of ammonia compounds. It should be strictly avoided. It causes hyperactivity, can cause liver and stomach diseases and fertility problems. Its acceptable daily dose has been set at 200 mg / kg bw, and you should know that this ingredient is not only found in many companies’ dark roast sauce, but also, for example, in brown bread pretending to be wholemeal.
  • id=»h24″>

  • Palm oil – id = »h24 ″> we have known for a long time that it is detrimental to health, although it is plant-based. As much as 45 percent. it is composed of harmful saturated fatty acids. They cause, among others. increase in bad cholesterol in the blood. What’s more, in the refining process, it loses all valuable compounds, ie vitamin E, vitamin A. The Senate Social Affairs Committee in France adopted a law two years ago, under which the tax on palm oil was increased by 300%. The National Food Safety Agency (ASNES), on the other hand, warns that its excessive consumption contributes to the development of obesity, and also promotes the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases.

  • Fully hardened palm fatid = »h24 ″>, containing trans isomers is a silent killer. It increases blood cholesterol levels, contributes to heart disease, diabetes and obesity. Importantly, it is also the cause of neoplasms, e.g. colorectal cancer.

Shouldn’t children eat ready-made sauces?

id=»h24″>

The more stubborn will say: What happens if my child eats such a sauce from time to time?id = »h24 ″> Probably nothing big (probably, not for sure). However, the manufacturer’s name suggests that the sauces are “for every day” and actually offer a fairly wide range of flavors. Besides, this is how we shape the habits of our children. If we serve a sauce full of salt, sugar, artificial improvers: once, twice, three times, it will be difficult to convince the family to eat ‘dry’ meals or a healthier version of homemade sauces.

It’s not that the mentioned company has the worst line-up of all. The compositions of sauces from other companies, eg Knorr, Amino, are very similar. In this case, the combination of the recently broadcast advertisement with the substances contained in the composition is offensive.

What is dietary sauce?

id=»h24″>

Sauce doesn’t have to be the worst addition to your dinner. It does not have to be just a flour, salty suspension. If you do not like ‘dry’ potatoes, groats, rice, etc., choose a healthy alternative to sauces. It is not really difficult, and it will help to keep the whole family healthy and slimmer. I presented ideas for healthy sauces in the article about dietary and cheap sauces.id = »h24 ″>

id=»h24″>

Once again, we write that advertising is not worth trusting. The most harmful, however, are those that affect our children. Fortunately, we are more and more aware, we read the ingredients and we can distinguish a valuable product from a ‘poor fake’.
