Growing an ornamental apple tree of Nedzvetsky
Caring for this tree is no more difficult than caring for a regular apple tree. First of all, you need to correctly determine the place where it will grow. It should be sunny, open space. The soil must be fertile, so you need to take care of fertilizers in advance.
Some features and care rules will help novice gardeners grow a beautiful and healthy tree:
- frequent watering is necessary only during flowering and fruit formation. The rest of the time we water it once a month, in case of severe drought – 2-3 times;
- the plant does not tolerate stagnant water at the roots. In the place of its landing, there should be no groundwater close to the surface. But excessively dry soil is also harmful;
- loose soil is useful for the tree, and after watering it must be mulched with fresh grass or peat;
- the roots do not go deep into the ground, so when weeding or loosening, you need to be careful not to damage them;
- you need to fertilize the soil 3 times a year – in spring during flowering, in summer and late autumn. Both mineral and organic feeding is required.
The tree must be prepared for winter. The trunk needs to be wrapped in burlap, and for the roots to arrange a reliable shelter from straw, bark, pine needles. With the onset of spring, we remove the shelter.
