The apple tree “Yablochny Spas” is an early ripe summer variety. This is the pride of Russian breeders, created in Krasnodar. The southern region is considered the most suitable for her, but it is successfully grown in the middle lane and even feels good in the Urals and Siberia.

The tree adapts well to any conditions, and even soil composition and weather conditions are less important for it than for many other varieties. This plant has 3 complete sets of chromosomes, while ordinary plants have only 2.

There are no more than 20 such varieties, they are called triploid. They are valued for the following qualities:
- Fast ripening. The crop can be harvested as early as mid-August;
- Resistance to external adverse factors: frost, disease, drought;
- Undemanding in care;
- High productivity. Up to 50 kg of apples can be harvested from one tree;
- Good taste.
This large plant is a tall tree with a wide spreading crown. The fruit gives the appropriate – one apple weighs on average 200 g. They have a yellow-green color and a blush of red stripes on one side. The pulp is juicy, medium firm.
Features of the apple tree: growing the variety “Apple Spas”
This variety is not self-pollinating, so it should be planted next to other apple trees, but diploid. The planting process is not at all difficult:
- We dig a hole so that its size fully accommodates the root system of the tree;
- We spread fertilizers at the bottom;
- We lower the seedling, straighten the roots and cover it with earth, trying not to damage them;
- We compact the soil around the trunk, pour 3 buckets of water.
Fruiting begins 3 years after planting. Every year, the volume of the crop increases if you follow the minimum rules for care and get rid of pests in time. The fruits usually ripen until mid-August. Under the influence of unfavorable weather conditions, the dates may be shifted to the beginning of September.
Harvested apples are good fresh and are often used in cooking. Under the right storage conditions, they may not deteriorate for up to 6 months. The optimum temperature for this is from 0 to 4 degrees. They can be folded into a drawer and stored in the basement, provided it is not damp.
The main distinguishing feature of this variety is its strong immunity to scab, which so often affects apple trees. For planting in your garden, this is a great option, especially for novice summer residents. It does not require much maintenance and has virtually no drawbacks.
