Despite the difficult situation with the coronavirus pandemic, last year the global technology manufacturer managed to surprise high-tech fans, and Apple presentations in 2021 became no less interesting events. The April, June, September and October events are a clear confirmation of this.
As for last year’s achievements of the Cupertino team, their list is quite extensive. So, in April 2020, a model of an inexpensive second-generation iPhone SE and iPad Pro with 5G support was introduced. In the summer, traditionally, users received a package of new updates. In particular, we are talking about iOS 14, iPadOS 14 and watchOS 7. However, the event in November 2020 was the most interesting event. It featured the new MacBook Air, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, and the Mac mini with the M1 chip. The latter allows you to increase productivity by almost two times compared to the previous generation of technology.
In 2021, the spring presentation took place on April 20, the summer presentation took place from June 7 to 11, and the autumn presentation took place on September 14 and October 18.
Apple presentation April 20
The main novelties of the April event were iPad Pro and iMac. Their production was launched in early 2021. In addition, Apple introduced the AirTag tracker and the new (sixth) generation of Apple TV set-top boxes.
Updated iMac
The company has equipped the new iMac with the “iPad Pro design language” and thinner bezels. A complete redesign of the all-in-ones means that the computers are available to customers in seven different colors with a diagonal of 24 inches. In addition, this version of iMac is equipped with an M1 processor. This speeds up the device by 85% compared to the previous generation, according to Apple. Apple TV 6
The long-awaited presentation of the new sixth-generation Apple TV set-top box also took place at the April session. The appearance of the device remained unchanged. Updates touched the control panel – it is made of 100% recycled aluminum. The engineers decided to return the old control ring instead of the touchpad. You can use it to scroll through lists or rewind videos. The search button was moved to the end face of the remote control. In addition, the Find My function was added to the control panel, which is able to track the device if it is lost in the house. Also, the console was equipped with a new A12 Bionic processor. The AirTag tracker is a brand new product from Apple that users have been waiting for for several years. It is a small tracker that can be attached to keys, wallet and other important things. iPad Pro with M1 processor
This is the first time that an Apple tablet has received an M1 processor. According to the developers, this increased the performance of the iPad Pro by 50%. Also introduced is an updated TrueDepth camera system with a new 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with a 122-degree field of view. Apple’s annual summer event spanned three days from June 7th to 11th. Due to the epidemiological situation, the presentation of new products was held online, new operating systems for various devices were presented.
iOS 15
So, the opening of the program was dedicated to the new iOS 15. The developers have made major changes to this operating system. Yes, video call service FaceTime received spatial audio. iPad 9

iPhone 13 Pro
Apple separately presented the iPhone 13 Pro as the “most revolutionary smartphone” at the moment (for example, some of its elements are made of surgical steel). The device is equipped with an A15 processor, but a more powerful modification than the iPhone 13 – the video chip has five cores versus four for the regular version. The display refresh rate is 120 hertz.
Equipped with three cameras: main, ultra-wide and telephoto with 92x zoom. The main camera captures XNUMX% more light than its predecessors when shooting in the dark. There are “smart filters” and macro photography; the manufacturer also promised support for the ProRes Video format – this is a RAW format for further processing in professional video programs.

At the presentation on October 18, the HomePod Mini smart speaker, the new generation of AirPods with spatial sound support and the long-awaited MacBook Pro laptop were presented in two variations.
AirPods 3
The new AirPods of the third generation support spatial audio and can work for six hours without interruption or 30 hours with the case. MacBook Pro
The new MacBook Pro is presented with two screen sizes: 14.2 and 16.2 inches. The device has received a complete redesign – the display frame has become much thinner than its predecessor and is 3.5 mm. The camera is designed in the form of a “bangs”, which users are used to seeing on smartphones and tablets, but not laptops.
Each of these models is equipped with M1 Pro or M1 Max processors – to choose from. The 10-core M1 Pro is 1% faster than the previous M70 series processor, supports 32GB RAM and 16 video cores. M1 Max – 64 GB of RAM and 32 GPU cores.
The 14-inch model is rated for 17 hours of video playback, while the 16-inch model is rated for 21 hours. The manufacturer claims that this is a battery life record in the history of all Apple devices. Both laptops are charged from MagSafe charging with increased bandwidth.
Both models are equipped with SSD-drives with capacities from 512 GB to 8 TB. The thickness of the MacBook Pro 14 inches is 15.5 mm, 16 inches is 16.8 mm. The macOS operating system has also been redesigned to work optimally with the new processors.
Orders for new laptops are open from October 18, the price starts from 189 rubles for a 990-inch variation and from 14 dollars for a 234-inch one.
