The apple diet is extremely popular – both among fans of quick methods of express weight loss, and among fierce critics of mono diets. Like most diets, apple has its pluses, minuses, and contraindications. And before going to the store for apples, it is worth thoroughly studying both that, and another, and the third.
Of all the abundance of apples for the apple diet, green domestic apples of a neutral taste are best suited – not too sweet, but not sour either.
Features of the apple diet
The apple diet, like many other fruit-based diets, belongs to the category of mono-diets – this means that for a certain period of time only one product remains in the diet. In our case, apples. And like any mono diet for weight loss, it has a strict time limit.
It is believed that for a start, it is advisable to use the apple diet only as fasting days. You should arrange for yourself such fasting days no more than once every two weeks. Later, if your body treats apple days friendly (that is, there is no stomach pain, diarrhea or general weakness), the diet on apples can be extended in time, but no more than 3-4 days.
No matter what your friends or numerous publications devoted to weight loss diets advise you, you should know that any mono-diet stretched out in time actually turns into “Russian roulette”: there are more risks and dangers in it than hopes for healthy weight loss and rejuvenation.
Few people know, but with an apple diet, “heavenly fruits” can be eaten not only in its original form. On the contrary, nutritionists advise not to gnaw apples as they are, but to puree them. You can also bake apples in the oven. And one more common belief should be dispelled: in a day you can eat apples not “as much as you want”, and not more than 1,5 kg.
Despite the fact that the apple diet is really very effective (in 3 days you can lose up to 2,5 – 3 kg of excess weight), it cannot be called easy. The fact is that apples stimulate appetite, which not everyone can overcome. If you find it difficult to cope with the surging appetite, it makes sense to switch from the apple diet to the tomato one. And nevertheless, of all the other mono-diets that ladies use for express weight loss, apple is one of the best. At least because apples are deservedly considered the most useful product of all other existing fruits.
Express diet on apples and water
The basis of the apple diet for weight loss, as the name suggests, is made up of apples. Distribute 1,5 kg of apples so that they are eaten in 3-4 meals, the last of which should be no later than eight o’clock in the evening.
Start the morning with two glasses of warm water, and after half an hour you can eat your first apple. Drink about 2 liters of water throughout the day. If you have enough willpower, then during the diet, give up any tonic drinks – for example, tea, coffee, drink only water.
Returning to the issue of choosing apples, it is worth mentioning that for the apple diet it is best to take domestic apples, that is, those that are not coated with edible wax (which is used to coat the fruit before long-term transportation). Otherwise, during the diet, you will eat a large amount of this wax, and it contains paraffins that destroy liver cells.
Contraindications to the apple diet
The apple diet has its own contraindications. Considering that apple juice is a rather aggressive irritant for the stomach, the apple diet is not recommended for people with gastrointestinal problems, and even more so – with gastritis, ulcers and other serious ailments.
Also, those who have increased acidity in the stomach should not “sit down” on an apple diet. And finally: do not hope that the apple diet will help you really lose weight and transform, if in everyday life you do not like and do not eat apples.
It has long been noticed that when a woman or a girl “goes on” a diet, as if to hard labor, she does not get any positive result. Conversely, when you lose weight in pleasure, the effect surpasses the wildest dreams.
Most experienced and respected nutritionists are against mono diets as such. For those who are especially stubborn in their desire to lose weight on a tough mono-diet, they advise: if you have already decided on an apple three-day express weight loss, then in the interests of your own health, the intake of apples should be alternated with the intake of a small amount of protein, and an animal (chicken meat, lean fish, light cottage cheese, eggs). Small – this means no more than 100 g per day. Lose weight with pleasure, achieve the desired effect, but most importantly – take care of your health. After all, you cannot restore it later with any diets.
