Nutritionists argue that the nutrition of a modern person should be fractional. That is why, in addition to the main meals, the diet also includes so-called snacks – snacks, nuts and fruits. One of the most popular foods that are used precisely as a low-calorie yet satisfying snack is an apple. But despite all its benefits for the body, eating apples every day is boring. And apple chips come to the rescue, the recipe of which even novice cooks can cook.
Apple chips are a popular tasty and crunchy food. Due to the rich content of useful trace elements and the amount of vitamin C, they can easily compete with various candied citrus fruits, for example, orange. In addition, apple chips can be an excellent substitute for snacks that involve the use of meat products – sausages, smoked meats, etc. The popularity of such a delicacy is growing every day. At the same time, it is a mistake to think that apple chips can only be made in an industrial environment. It is quite possible to make them yourself.
The main advantage of such a product is that you do not need many ingredients to prepare it. All you need is: – 2 pcs. apples (weighing about 200 g); – 80 g of sugar; – 250 ml of sparkling water.

First, wash the apples thoroughly, because you will dry them along with the skin. Then cut out the core. Next, cut the fruit into thin slices. Remember, the thinner the better. If it seems to you that the apples are too large, cut them into slices.
Dissolve sugar with water and put on fire. Let the mixture boil, then pour the prepared apples with the resulting infusion and leave for 15 minutes so that they are thoroughly soaked. Loan put the fruit slices on a wire rack to allow the excess liquid to glass. At this time, turn on the oven and set it to 110 degrees. Place baking paper on a baking sheet and place apples on it. Then place the baking sheet in the oven.
Do not skip using baking paper, otherwise your apple slices will stick to the baking sheet, and you just have to scrape them off and throw them away.
You need to dry the apples in the oven carefully and depending on how thick you made the slices. So, for example, if they are thin, then an hour will be enough (half an hour on each side). If the slices are thicker, then you may have to dry them for about 2 hours. A guide for turning apples to the other side should be their color. As soon as they are a little brownish, you can turn it over.
Remove the ready-made chips from the oven, carefully remove from the baking sheet and let cool. Everything, you can safely use them both as a snack and as a dessert.
The number of pluses of a product like apples is almost impossible to calculate. They are both nutritious and beneficial for the body – they normalize metabolism, the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, are an excellent antioxidant, etc. Dried apples, according to experts, contribute to the normalization of hormonal levels. That is very important for women, especially during certain periods.
Sometimes when making apple chips, spices are added to the apples. This further enhances the benefits of the apple product. For example, cinnamon is a well-known antioxidant, vanilla normalizes the activity of the nervous system and has an anti-stress effect.
Despite the presence of sugar in the recipe for apple chips, this product is still considered one of the lowest in calories. This means that it can be easily eaten, even if you are on a diet.
