Apap Noc is a medicine used in family medicine to relieve difficulty falling asleep in the course of colds and flu. The preparation acts on the central nervous system, has analgesic, antipyretic and hypnotic properties. Apap Noc is available in tablet form and is available without a prescription.

Indications for the use of Apap Noc
Apap Noc is a combined preparation with analgesic, antipyretic and antihistamine properties. It is administered for pains of various origins accompanied by insomnia (headaches, bones and joints, muscles, teeth, menstrual, neuralgia, pains associated with colds and flu.)
Dosage: adults and children after 12 years of age 1-2 tables 30 minutes before bedtime.
Apap Noc and contraindications and warnings
Contraindications to the use of Apap Noc are:
- hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
- severe liver or kidney failure,
- viral hepatitis,
- use of MAO inhibitors in parallel or during the last 2 weeks,
- pregnancy, the period of breastfeeding;
- do not use in children up to 12 years of age
Apap Noc – warnings
- Do not use doses higher than recommended.
- In order to avoid overdose, check that other medications do not contain paracetamol.
- The use of Apap Noc by people with hepatic insufficiency, alcohol abusers and starving people poses a risk of liver damage.
- Use with caution in people with renal and hepatic insufficiency and bronchial asthma, cardiac arrhythmias, hypertension, epilepsy, prostatic hyperplasia, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, pyloric stenosis and the elderly.
- Do not drink alcohol while taking Apap Noc.
- Use the preparation only at bedtime. Do not drive or operate motor vehicles while using the preparation.
Apap Noc – interactions
- Do not use in parallel with other drugs containing paracetamol. Paracetamol may increase the effect of anticoagulants (warfarin, coumarin).
- Simultaneous administration of the preparation with rifampicin, antiepileptic drugs, hypnotics, anxiolytics, opioid analgesics may increase their effect.
- Paracetamol administered with MAO inhibitors may cause agitation and high fever.
- The preparation may enhance the effect and increase the toxicity of neuroleptic drugs (haloperidol and other butyrophenone derivatives), antidepressants (fluoxetine, paroxetine, tricyclic antidepressants), anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine, phenobarbital).
Apap Noc – side effects
The following may occur: nausea, vomiting, digestive disorders, allergic reactions: hives, erythema, rash, dry mouth, dizziness. Isolated cases of haematological disorders (thrombocytopenia, agranulocytosis). Liver or kidney damage usually occurs after overdose.
