Antiviral natural remedies: healthy foods

Ginger

Strong antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, expectorant, antipyretic and diaphoretic. Effective for acute respiratory infections, flu, colds, tonsillitis, bronchitis. Peel a thumb-sized piece of fresh root, grate or chop finely. Pour 500 ml of boiling water, add lemon and honey. For prevention, drink hot before bedtime, during illness – 4-5 glasses a day.

Contraindications: cirrhosis, hepatitis, stones in the biliary tract, peptic ulcer.

Garnet

Fights high fever, relieves inflammation.

Astringents of pomegranate help to remove phlegm in bronchitis and pneumonia. Boosts immunity. Dilute natural (sugar-free) juice with warm water 1: 1, add honey and drink 3-4 glasses a day. With sore throat, diluted juice without sugar can be used to gargle.

Contraindications: peptic ulcer, gastritis with high acidity, constipation and pancreatitis.

Cinnamon

Destroys pathogenic bacteria and viruses, stimulates the immune system. Has a pronounced diaphoretic effect, stronger than raspberries. Add to hot tea instead of jam or honey. For sore throats, make an infusion of a teaspoon of powder in a glass of boiling water and rinse 4-5 times a day.

Contraindications: kidney and heart disease, high blood pressure, pregnancy.

Powder of mustard

Warming, anti-microbial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory action. Pour 1-2 tbsp into the sock. l. mustard powder, put on your feet, on top of one more socks – woolen. Do not remove for 6-8 hours. You can also do warm 20-minute foot baths with mustard powder.

Contraindications: diseases of the cardiovascular system and kidneys, skin diseases.

Cranberries

Strengthens the immune system, has antipyretic and antiviral effects. Make a fruit drink without boiling (so as not to destroy vitamins and antimicrobial substances). Pour a small amount of boiling water over the berries, crush and strain, rinsing the sieve with hot water. Add some honey and dilute to a pleasant taste. During illness, drink 4-5 glasses a day.

Contraindications: stomach ulcer, duodenal ulcer, gastritis.
