Antistatic agent for clothes. Video
Synthetic fabrics have greatly facilitated the life of a modern person. The outfits have become more resistant to wear and tear and much stronger. Perhaps only one inconvenience is inherent in synthetics – the appearance of static electricity on clothes. A favorite sweater made of quality synthetics can be frustrating when it cracks and feels like an electric shock. Antistatic agents help to cope with this negative phenomenon.
Insidious statics
What if your favorite clothes are exposed to static electricity? Of course, it is impossible to completely abandon the use of synthetics. Even in the manufacture of some natural fabrics, synthetic fibers are often added to them, which improves the consumer qualities of the product. Synthetics can be found on the lining of trousers, jackets, sweaters and tights.
When friction occurs between the items of clothing and the body, static electricity is generated.
Most often, static is formed on products made of nylon, nylon and lavsan. Hair can stick to such clothes at the most inopportune moment, dust settles on it, which makes the clothes not very attractive. To prevent these and other undesirable phenomena, various types of antistatic agents are widely used, which today can be purchased in most stores selling household chemicals.
Antistatic agent – a means of combating static electricity
Antistatic agents include chemicals that are designed to release electrical charges from synthetic fabrics. Having processed the product with such a composition, you can use your favorite clothes without fear that the fashionable skirt will stick to the nylon tights at the most inopportune moment. And a person who accidentally touches the sleeve of your sweater will avoid a very sensitive electrostatic shock.
It is most convenient to use an antistatic agent, which is in the form of a spray. However, modern industry produces such products not only in aerosol packages, so the choice remains with the consumer.
Sometimes there are antistatic compounds packaged in bottles like conditioner-rinse.
Which antistatic agent should you choose?
The most common are two types of antistatic agents in the form of a spray. One of them is made on the basis of ethyl alcohol. Therefore, it evaporates relatively easily from the surface of the product, but leaves behind a persistent and not very pleasant smell. It is recommended to apply such a composition to clothes only in a well-ventilated area.
Another type of antistatic spray is water-based. It is considered safer for human health, although it contains surfactants. The disadvantage of this antistatic agent is that it can cause slight irritation when it comes into contact with the skin. Which type of antistatic agent to choose is up to you.
If, when using one or another antistatic agent, you notice signs of allergies, it is recommended to abandon it by trying a different composition.
