Incorrectly selected cosmetic products (especially whitening products), abuse of powder, smoking and alcohol, lack of water in the body can provoke and accelerate the appearance of wrinkles. People with lively active facial expressions usually have more facial wrinkles on the forehead and in the corners of the eyes than calm and restrained people.

As a rule, grooves on the forehead appear first, followed by wrinkles from the wings of the nose to the corners of the lips and crow’s feet near the eyes. The most recent are the neck, chin and upper lip.

The wrinkle formation process is very long. From the “inception” of a wrinkle to the moment when it is clearly visible on the face, it takes about 5-7 years. That is why it is necessary to start prevention of their appearance as early as possible.

It is best to deal with skin aging in a comprehensive manner. A healthy lifestyle, fresh air, good nutrition, as well as proper skin care: cleansing, moisturizing, massage will help here. A noticeable result can be achieved with special anti-wrinkle masks.

Our great-grandmothers also knew recipes for masks to prolong skin youthfulness based on natural products: herbs, vegetable oils and animal fats. Now science has gone far ahead, pharmacists have invented many anti-aging agents, but folk methods are still popular. And no wonder. First, home remedies are inexpensive and the ingredients can be purchased at any store. Secondly, they have no side effects and age restrictions, which means that you can start skin care with them at any age.

When applying anti-wrinkle masks at home, it is important to observe several conditions:

  • masks must be done regularly, once every 1-2 weeks
  • the maximum application time of the mask should not exceed 20 minutes
  • before applying the nutritional composition, the face must be thoroughly cleansed
  • the mask, like the cream, should be applied along the massage lines from the bridge of the nose, the middle of the forehead and chin to the temples
  • only special formulations intended for this area are applied around the eyes
  • in no case should the mask be rubbed into the skin
  • the best time for a mask is the middle of the day (not early in the morning or late in the evening), when the body is working at full strength, and the skin is in normal tone
  • during the procedure, you need to relax the muscles of the face, and then do not use decorative cosmetics for a couple of hours

It is worth remembering that dilated skin vessels and the presence of a large amount of coarse facial hair are a contraindication to the use of anti-wrinkle masks.

Before choosing a mask recipe, you need to determine your skin type.

This can be done by placing a paper napkin on your face in the morning. Greasy spots all over the napkin indicate oily skin. With normal skin, the spots will be in the area of ​​the nose and forehead, and with dry skin, they will not be at all.

For normal to dry skin, a cottage cheese mask is perfect. To prepare it, you need to take 2 teaspoons of low-fat cottage cheese, a teaspoon of strong black tea and linseed oil, the zest of half a lemon. Mix all ingredients and apply on face.

Also, good results are obtained by using a composition of oat flour with honey. Grind 2 tablespoons of rolled oats with a coffee grinder, add a tablespoon of olive oil, 3 tablespoons of warm milk and a teaspoon of honey.

Owners of dry skin are advised to fight wrinkles with the help of yolk and oil

To do this, you need to thickly apply any vegetable oil (food or pharmacy) to your face, and on top – the yolk. After 15-20 minutes, the mask must be washed off. This product moisturizes the skin well, helps to get rid of flaking.

Another recipe for dry skin is a potato mask. You need to make mashed potatoes from boiled potatoes, yolk and fresh milk (potatoes are best boiled in their uniforms so that they retain the maximum amount of nutrients) and, while the composition is warm, apply it on the face. An apple and milk mask will help smooth out wrinkles on oily skin. To do this, you need to peel the apple, cut it into small slices and boil it in a little milk. Cool the resulting puree and apply on face for 20 minutes.

A creamy potato mask will help you quickly get rid of crow’s feet around the eyes. To prepare it, you need to mix cream with finely grated potatoes in a 1: 2 ratio. This composition must be applied to the lower eyelids, and at the same time put cotton pads moistened with strong black tea on the upper ones.
