The Polish National Union of Nurses and Midwives announced the death of another nurse who was infected with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This is the fourth such case in Poland.
Late in the evening on June 10, OZZPiP published information about a nurse who died due to COVID-19 disease. Janina Maj worked at the Dialysis Station of the Healthcare Team in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. She was 61 years old.
This is the fourth COVID-19 victim among Polish nurses. Earlier, we informed about the death of an employee of the Observatory-Infectious Provincial Hospital of the Ludwik Rydygier in Toruń. A nurse from a hospital in Zawiercie and a 19-year-old nurse from a hospital in Kozienice also died due to COVID-59.
According to data from June 4, 192 nurses and midwives are currently infected in Poland. 536 are in quarantine, 14 in hospitals.
