Anna Przybylska’s doctor tells about her struggle with the disease

On Sunday, October 5, Anna Przybylska died. The actress suffered from a pancreatic cancer that was extremely difficult to treat. Dariusz Zadrożny, her doctor from the Oncology Center in Gdańsk, recalled her yesterday in the TVP Info program Tonight.

When I met her, she looked completely healthy. In addition, she had a diagnosis of a benign tumor in the pancreas and no one expected that such a young girl could end up with a malignant tumor – said Dr. Zadrożny.

As the doctor explained, Anna Przybylska had a very unfortunate location of the tumor. The specialist explained that when the cancer is located in the head of the pancreas, it quickly shows symptoms, including jaundice, so that it can be detected at an early stage of the disease. In the actress’s case, a tumor has developed between the head and the body of the organ, which is a very unfavorable position due to the late onset of symptoms. However, this location causes rapid infiltration of the visceral plexus nerves, which causes severe pain symptoms.

The doctor noted that pancreatic tumors are generally diagnosed late because of their position against the spine. It’s not so easy to recognize something that is very, very deep and hidden from our eyes. I heard a lot of voices today about the need to do a CT scan, but ladies and gentlemen, let’s not get crazy. It was a 35-year-old woman whose radiation dose delivered in each of these tests could harm. She still wanted children.

Zadrożny also talked about how the actress struggled with the disease on a daily basis. He mentioned that she was optimistic practically to the end and was eager to joke. She was grateful for each day, and she was not intrusive in her fight. She never felt she was entitled to anything. Just like everyone else, she wanted to live as long as possible.

At the actress’s request, the clinic, where Anna Przybylska was treated, was very discreet from the very beginning. The star was listed under the changed data. Zadrożny points out that although the information on Ms Anna’s health was extremely valuable, none of the staff released it to the media, as they primarily cared about the patient’s peace.
