Who is Anna Bazydło?
Anna Bazydło graduated from the Medical University of Gdańsk. She received her doctor’s diploma in 2019. Her involvement in protest and social activity are not new to her. She was the starost of the year in medicine and represented the student government in the faculty council. At the end of her studies, she received the dean’s distinction for active efforts to improve the quality of teaching and communication between university authorities and students. Earlier, already in high school and in the boarding school where she lived, teachers prepared her – as she says – to conduct discussions and public appearances. At that time, she was already conducting school debates.
Dr. Bazydło wanted to be a surgeon, but due to her health condition, she had to change her plans. She decided to be a psychiatrist. – I found out that psychiatry is a field that turns out to be very needed by patients while working at the covid emergency department – she told RynekZdrowia.pl. – After working in the covid department and knowing that I would not be able to pursue the treatment profession, I quit my job as a doctor for a few months. I returned to my standard way of earning money, i.e. education and organizing events – she revealed.
In the protest, the doctor sees an opportunity to improve the working conditions of health care workers. – For me, the changes we are fighting for are a kind of being or not a doctor in Poland, and I like my job – he says. The protesters also emphasize that they are fighting for the well-being of patients and the quality of medical services offered to them.

This is almost 107 hours of psychotherapy that our patients are waiting for two years at this moment. (…) Are the salaries of ministers with secondary education also differentiated on the basis of the education with which they enter the profession? ».
