Anise tincture differs from the vodka of the same name primarily in the way it is prepared. If the first one only insists on a strong alcohol base, then the second one, after insisting, is subjected to repeated distillation.

Anise tincture: a recipe from admirers of good moonshine
Anise tincture on moonshine is not particularly sophisticated. However, lovers of anise multiplied by sharp alcoholic sensations will like it.
Ingredients
Moonshine (45-50 degrees) – 3 l
Seeds of anise ordinary – 4 g
Caraway seeds – 0,5 g
Dill seeds – 0,5 g
Coriander – 0,2 g
Star anise – 2 stars
Sugar (optional) – 1 tbsp. l.
Method of preparation
Grind star anise, after which, send all the bulk ingredients to a three-liter jar and pour moonshine.
Place the container in a cool dark place.
Keep in mind that when exposed to sunlight, the essential oils contained in anise will necessarily transform into toxic substances..
Keep the jar in the dark for two weeks, shaking it daily. Then strain the drink and leave it to ripen for another two weeks.
Pour the result into dark glass bottles and wait for an opportunity to use the resulting decoction.
Anise tincture for alcohol
Anise tincture for alcohol at home will require even less effort than its previous modification. As a result, you will get something very close to French pastis.
Ingredients
Water-alcohol solution (45 degrees) – 500 ml
Anise ordinary – 1 tsp
Star anise – 2 stars
Cumin – 1 h. l.
Licorice – 0,5 h l.
Sugar – 1 tsp.
Method of preparation
Pour all ingredients, except sugar, into a suitable glass container and pour alcohol.
Keep the vessel, shaking it periodically, for half a month in a cool, dark place (it is not recommended to leave the drink in the refrigerator to avoid crystallization of essential oils).
Then, filter the liquid through gauze and cotton filters, add sugar, mix well and return to darkness for a couple of days, then pour into a dark bottle and cork carefully.
Anise-dill tincture
Ingredients
Vodka – 1 l
Anise, chamomile and dill – 10 g
Method of preparation
Mix dill and chamomile, add anise seeds and pour into a bottle.
Pour vodka, leave for 35-37 days.
Strain and pour into bottles prepared for storage.
The easiest anise tincture recipe
Ingredients
Vodka – 1 l
Anise – 1 teaspoon
Method of preparation
Wrap anise seeds in a bag of gauze, tie, put in a bottle, pour vodka, cork and insist for several days.
Then filter the tincture and store in a closed bottle.
Useful properties of anise tincture
Numerous healing properties of anise are partly transferred to alcoholic beverages prepared with its addition.
Such drinks have a beneficial effect on the body with toothaches and headaches, cardiovascular diseases, colds and insufficiently intense digestion (both as an aperitif and digestif).
At the same time, it is strongly recommended to refrain from using anise in case of gastric and duodenal ulcers, as well as in case of liver and kidney disease. Of course, this very strong alcohol is also contraindicated for children and pregnant women.
