The 5th Route of Tapeo, as the organizers of the gastronomic event that has been held in the Jaén countryside since the last day of February have called it, leads the city to become an obligatory destination during these pre-spring days.
Throughout the month of March and until April 10, 11 and 12, a total of 33 catering establishments in the town set up their kitchens and bars to offer visitors an ingenious and creative variety of tapas and pinchos.
The Local Development Department, together with the Andujar Hospitality Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Open Shopping Center join their efforts in sponsoring this new edition.
Initiative, dynamization, support, diversity and desire to create are the characteristics of this gastronomic route through the streets of Andujar, which will surely attract more than one visitor.
The “Art of flirting”
In order not to lose good habits, within the messages of the gastronomic conference dissemination campaign, the slogan has been introduced “I flirt in Andujar”, and faithful to the tradition of those lands and the roots of its locals, they will fuse the exquisite bites with the art of romance and compliment, to make the celebrations a playful and gastro environment at the same time.
The hospitality industry and flirtation, are complementary in these latitudes, and this has been mentioned by the mayor of the Iliturgitan town hall Jesús Estrella, where he invites:
to participate in the route, honoring our culture and custom of “flirting”, which contributes to the revitalization of the hospitality sector.
Culinary tradition and gastronomic avant-garde come together in the different establishments that for 2,50 euros will offer their snacks along with a beer.
Participating has a prize, and the riders who complete their booklet that thus accredits them with a minimum of 28 sealed covers, will be able to participate in a raffle at the end of the days, for a cash prize of 500 euros.
Marinades, game, pickles and of course AOVE (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) from the Serrano olive trees, await us in Jaén this March.
