Andrzej Duda on compulsory vaccinations: there is no need to fight against national character traits

Andrzej Duda is an opponent of the obligation to vaccinate against COVID-19 in Poland. On TVP, he explained that the reason is “Polish character”.

Andrzej Duda was a guest of TVP on Monday evening. He announced on the air that he intended to vaccinate himself with a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. However, he strongly opposed the obligation to vaccinate.

– I am speaking not because I know the Polish character and I know that many people will be absolutely against it – the president said in an interview for TVP. He added that many people, in his opinion, would act somewhat in spite of the applicable regulations.

– We will actually have such an action: no because no, I do not agree to be forced. This is our character and I think there is no need to fight against national character traits. You just have to take them into account – summed up Duda.
