The first issue of the “ATOPIA” quarterly has just been published in electronic version. The journal was published by the Polish Society of Atopic Diseases. The creators want to educate, inform and advise. For them, any way is right to spread the word about atopy.
It is a magazine about the problem from A to Z. A for atopy, Z for health. When you read about a sick little Tosia in the series “Our Stories”, you can see that atopy is an element of a lifestyle, obviously not of your own choice. The motto of the PTCA is and will always be the slogan that it is possible to live with atopy. Which, of course, for them does not mean passive acceptance, but active improvement of the living conditions of people suffering from atopic diseases. In the first issue also about what the marketing slogan “no added sugar” can mean, what is “light” – in the guide on labels, how not to fall for the tricks of producers and how to really read labels.
Most of the products are described in detail, but if you say it nicely, you have to learn to read them comprehensively, in other words, to live for your brother with tables. In the article about lavaseptics, you can read about the latest approach to the proper protection of wounds. Is the traditional approach according to the scheme: wound, washing with an antiseptic preparation, applying a sterile dressing always working?
The main goal of PTCA is to support the entire community involved in the development of methods available on the market to minimize the effects of atopic diseases. The Society is a response to the growing needs of parents and the entire community interested in improving the living conditions of people suffering from atopic diseases.
