Reducing the desire for sex affects both men and women, but men often endure such problems much worse. Therefore, the decrease in libido affects men of all ages: from very young to those in advanced age.
What causes a decrease in the desire for sex?
It is known that as a teenager you felt that your hormones were going crazy and you could do it every day. However, with age, the body calms down, although the libido should remain “normal” anyway. It has been scientifically proven that the length of the relationship also matters – passion decreases with its duration. Of course, the longer the relationship, the greater the attachment, trust and closeness, so this can be put to good use and make sex even better than at the beginning.
Still, sometimes a person just can’t. There can be many reasons for this, e.g. autumn or winter weather, parenthood, conflicts or stress. The most common factors lowering libido include:
- Stress – has a very negative impact on sex life. Learn to deal with stress using relaxation techniques or seek professional help. A good way to unload your nerves is also doing sports, pleasant evenings for two (e.g. on Friday, with a glass of wine, with a good movie), spending time on your passion, walking.
- Conflicts – arguments and unresolved doubts are the enemies of good sex. Solve your problems before you plan a passionate evening.
- complexes – lack of faith in your own attractiveness, the belief that your body is unattractive – this will certainly not ensure bed excesses. Remember that the problem is often only in your head. To deal with this problem, regular physical activity is enough, which, in addition to improving the appearance of the body, will make you feel much better. Your confidence will go up, and everyone knows that confidence is sexy!
- No Time/Privacy – caused by parenthood. Children are a treasure, but the awareness of their presence in the other room or sleepless nights when they are still very young can effectively kill your passion. To be able to rest, it is best to ask the family for help (send the children to their grandparents for the night/weekend) or hire a babysitter. Remember that even if you are the best parents, you must have some time just for yourself.
- Alcohol – two glasses of wine will effectively stimulate circulation and add spirit, but unfortunately too much can result in erectile dysfunction.
- lack of sleep – too little sleep is, next to stress, one of the most common reasons for reduced libido in men. Going to bed too late, problems with insomnia, interrupted sleep, getting up early are the enemies of successful sex. Lack of sleep causes fatigue, and in a tired body the libido decreases.
