New COVID-19 Test Pathway

The head of the Ministry of Health announced at a press conference that there will be a new path of testing for the presence of coronavirus.

«We decided to relieve primary care from having Covid tests through a physician. You will be able to do it yourself, without the need to see a doctor »- Niedzielski informed.

How do I order a coronavirus test myself?

Niedzielski explained that there is a form at gov.pl/dom that must be completed. «These are the basic questions that concern the risk identification situation, whether there was contact with an infected person, because this is a premise for the test, and on the other hand, a summary of the symptoms you are dealing with. If these symptoms are confirmed in such a questionnaire, then the consultant from the hotline will call back to the number indicated on the form and will issue an order for the test to confirm his identity »- said the minister.

He stressed that consultants will be available from 8 am to 18 pm, also on weekends. The test results – he added – will be available on the patient’s online account.
