By the age of 38, she has acted in 50 films, was nominated for four Oscars, and this year became the face of Eau de Lacoste. And it is no accident: the actress has a special relationship with the world of smells.
Psychologies: You will debut as the face of the brand – what was the most interesting in this role?
Amy Adams: I learned a lot about creating perfumes – it’s a whole science! I have long appreciated the Lacoste brand for the convenience and versatility of its polo shirts – my favorite, white, I wear with jeans and a pencil skirt. But I am glad that I represent perfumes: smells play an important role in my life. So, when I think about my loved ones, I first of all remember their aroma – this detail remains the brightest for me. It’s strange, but sometimes I remember the perfume better than the appearance of its owner.
What smells do you like?
Amy Adams: I love jasmine and was glad to recognize it in the composition of Eau de Lacoste. It reminds me of one romantic trip to the town of Ravello in southern Italy. It was warm and sunny there, the wind carried the smell of blooming jasmine to us … Since then, the tart-sweet aroma of this flower has helped me feel the peace that filled that amazing day and relax wherever I am. Recently, I even planted a jasmine bush under my bedroom window.
Lacoste founder Jean René Lacoste was a ten-time Grand Slam winner. Do you play tennis?
Amy Adams: I started working out with a personal trainer in the gym – sports help me not only stay in good shape, but also feel happier. However, now I do not rule out that I will try myself in tennis.
Do you follow any nutritional system?
Amy Adams: I don’t count calories, but I strive to eat a balanced diet: eat more vegetables, fruits and less salt.

Amy Adams: Self-confidence without arrogance. Kindness. Generosity. Naturalness. On days when there are no filming and events, I almost do not make up and do not style my hair.
