Indications for use of the drug Amotaks Dis

The active substance of the drug is amoxicillin – an organic chemical compound with a bactericidal effect. Amotax Dis is an antibiotic prescribed by doctors to those patients who suffer from:

1. upper and lower respiratory tract, urinary tract and skin infections;
2. acute, uncomplicated gonorrhea;
3. dental infections;
4. early-stage Lyme disease;
5. eradication Helicobacter pylori (one of the elements of multi-drug therapy).

Dosage:

1. in respiratory tract infections:
2. – adults and children weighing more than 40 kg: 1,5-2 g twice a day or 1 g three times a day;
3. – children weighing less than 40 kg: 40-90 mg / kg body weight in 2-3 divided doses; maximum dose: 3 g per day.
4. in acute, uncomplicated gonorrhea:
5. – adults and children weighing more than 40 kg: 3 g at a time.
6. for the prevention of endocarditis:
7. – adults and children weighing more than 40 kg: dental treatment -2 g 30-60 minutes before the procedure; other surgical procedures for people at risk of endocarditis – please refer to your local official guidance on the prevention of endocarditis;
8. – children weighing less than 40 kg: 50 mg / kg body weight 1 hour before the planned surgery.
9. in the early form of Lyme disease:
10. – adults and children weighing more than 40 kg: 0,5-1 g three times a day for 10-21 days;
11. – children weighing less than 40 kg: 25-50 mg per kg of body weight daily for 10-21 days;
12. in eradication H. pylori:
13. – adults and children weighing more than 40 kg: Amotax Dis is used in a combination therapy regimen with other drugs.
14. in urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, dental infections:
15. – adults and children weighing more than 40 kg: usually 0,75-3 g / day in 2-3 divided doses; in severe infections, the dose may be increased to 6 g / day;
16. – children weighing less than 40 kg: 40-90 mg / kg body weight / day in 2-3 divided doses; maximum dose of 3 g per day.

Contraindications to the use of Amotaks Dis

Contraindication to the use of Amotaks Dis is hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients or to other beta-lactam antibiotics (other penicillins, cephalosporins), infectious mononucleosis.
