The US Anti-Doping Agency has decided not to consider some cases of doping in the body of athletes. An example of this is the story of Virginia Fuchs, with whom all charges were recently dropped.

Virginia Fuchs

Virginia Fuchs is a bronze medalist at the 2018 World Boxing Championships. However, recently, in the out-of-competition period, a young woman was suspected of taking doping.

In February, the 32-year-old athlete had a urinalysis. She was found to have two prohibited substances – the metabolites letrozole and cardarin.

Virginia assured that she did not take doping and has no idea how it ended up in her body.

USA Anti-Doping Agency (USED) decided to conduct a detailed investigation and find out if the athlete is really telling the truth or trying to deceive them.

As a result, experts came to the conclusion that Fuchs really did not take anything – the substances got into her body … sexually.

Virginia’s partner does not hide that he is doping. During unprotected sex, shortly before analysis, substances entered her body.

“We firmly believe that this case and others like it, including the transmission of prohibited substances through meat and prescription drugs, should not be considered a violation,” said USADA chief Travis Tygart. Now Fuchs will be able to calmly take part in further competitions.
