The Amazonian lily, or eucharis, is a plant with white flowers similar to a daffodil. It will decorate not only the garden, but also the apartment. Lily is unpretentious in growing, but many people cannot wait for its flowering at home. The secret lies in the rules of flower care.
Amazonian lily care rules
The lilies, which have a delicate pleasant aroma, open one after another and bloom for about 10 days. The leaves of an adult plant are wide, dark green in color. Their length reaches 55 cm, and their width is 20 cm.

The homeland of eucharis is the hot tropics, so the plant loves warmth. At temperatures below 7-10 degrees, the flower may die. Also, the Amazonian lily does not tolerate drafts.

- Place the flower in a lighted place, but keep it out of direct sunlight.
- During the growth period, ensure the room temperature is about 18 degrees, do not allow sudden changes.
- Wipe the leaves from dust and spray with water.
- Water abundantly, but rarely, avoiding stagnant water.
- Pour water around the edges of the pot, not in the center.
- Feed the plant during the growing and flowering period.
During flowering, waterlogging of the soil should not be allowed. Eucharis must be watered as it dries, and also fed. But during rest, for 40-50 days, on the contrary, stop feeding and reduce watering. Transplanted 1 time in 3 years.
Reproduction of the Amazon lily at home
At home, the flower propagates by bulbs. Daughter bulbs from a common family can be separated and planted. It is advisable to do this every 3-4 years, since eucharis does not tolerate damage to the root system.
The plant is transplanted in several cases:
- In order to propagate.
- If there is not enough space in the pot during the growth of the bulbs.
- With a flower disease.
It is better to replant the plant in March. Inspect the bulbs for damage after shaking off the soil. If necessary, trim off rotting parts and disinfect. Plant to a depth of 4-5 cm.
