Alveolitis of lungs

General description of the disease

 

Alveolitis of the lungs is an inflammatory process belonging to the diffuse group, the course of which occurs in the lungs (in the respiratory region). Alveolitis affects the alveoli (vesicles of the lungs).

This disease can be either independent or a consequence of other diseases (chronic hepatitis, sarcoidosis, thyroiditis, Sjogren’s syndrome, diffuse connective tissue disease, AIDS).

There are 3 forms of lung alveolitis:

  • toxic – occurs due to the ingress of toxins into the lungs (through drugs, chemicals);
  • allergic – allergens of various origins are inhaled through the nose and into the lungs (most often found in adults and children-lovers of animals and aquarium fish);
  • indopathic fibrosing – the rarest form of the disease, mainly the disease is transmitted genetically.

Symptoms:

  1. 1 allergic alveolitis: similar to ARVI, pneumonia, bronchitis;
  2. 2 indopathic fibrosing alveolitis: dry cough, with the slightest physical exertion, shortness of breath, excessive fatigue, pale (sometimes cyanotic) skin due to pulmonary heart disease, which occurs during the course of the disease, a sharp decrease in body weight, nails change shape, the nail plate becomes convex , the tips of the fingers thicken (become like drumsticks);
  3. 3 toxic alveolitis: they do not emit special obvious signs, the symptoms are similar to those listed above, the treatment consists in getting rid of the ingress of toxic substances and cleansing the lungs of them.

Common signs of lung alveolitis:

  • fever;
  • increased sweating;
  • “goosebumps” run around the body, head;
  • shortness of breath with a very rapid rate of increase;
  • either dry or wet cough for no apparent reason;
  • a feeling of squeezing in the chest;
  • when passing laboratory tests, in very frequent cases, the level of ESR is increased;
  • wheezing in the sternum;
  • chest pain.

Useful foods for lung alveolitis

Before you start following a diet, you need to empty your stomach. If you have a fever, you need to drink water with lemon or cranberry juice. Also, do not force to eat, it will only harm your health. Food should be light and aimed at enhancing immunity.

 

With lung alveolitis, you need to eat:

  • broth cooked for lean meats, fish;
  • milk, kefir, fat-free sour cream;
  • semolina and any milk porridge in general;
  • more fresh vegetables and fruits (but in order not to weaken the body with a loss of strength for chewing, it is better to give them in the form of mashed potatoes);
  • freshly squeezed juices from carrots, beets, fruits and berries (especially cranberries, apples, citrus fruits);
  • honey;
  • raisins, dried apricots, prunes, rosehip compotes, currants, sea buckthorn.

All food should be boiled or steamed, and stews can be given from time to time.

Traditional medicine for pulmonary alveolitis:

  1. 1 Pumpkin juice. You need to drink it half a liter per day. It relieves swelling of the lungs and alveoli very well.
  2. 2 An infusion of common lingonberry leaves will be a good antiseptic. To prepare it, add 250-10 grams of dry, crushed lingonberry leaves to 15 milliliters of water. You need to boil for 15 minutes. Allow to cool. Filter. This is a daily portion, you need to drink in several doses.
  3. 3 An effective remedy for pulmonary alveolitis are infusions of birch buds or leaves. To prepare this healing infusion, you will need half a liter of hot boiled water and 40 grams of birch leaves or buds (you can take half of both). Infuse for 50-60 minutes, then filter. Divide into 4 receptions. Consume 20 minutes before meals.
  4. 4 In case of severe suffocation, it is necessary to take a decoction made from pharmacy chamomile, hawthorn (it is better to take a bright red color), motherwort, marsh dryweed. Take all these herbs in equal portions. A glass of boiling water requires 20 grams of such a mixture. Boil for a few minutes. Insist under a closed lid for a quarter of an hour. Filter. Drink 75 milliliters after meals.
  5. 5 If fluid has accumulated in the lungs, you need to take this medicine: take 2 tablespoons of flax seeds, place them in a saucepan, pour a liter of water, bring to a boil, leave for 50 minutes. Filter. To improve the taste, you can add a little lemon juice, take half a glass warm every 3 hours (the number of doses per day should not exceed 6 times).
  6. 6 Also, infusions of sage, licorice, coltsfoot, thyme, juniper, oregano, aloe, linden flowers, knotweed have good healing properties.

Dangerous and harmful products for lung alveolitis

During the period of illness with alveolitis, you need to eat sugar, cream, butter limitedly. For a while, you should give up smoked meats, fried, salty, very fatty dishes, as well as cakes and pastries (especially with custard).

Do not consume alcoholic beverages, sausages, E-coded foods, semi-finished products, fast food, soda.

These are difficult to digest foods, the use of which will force the body to devote all its energy to processing them, and not to recovery.

Naturally, if the patient has previously smoked, then it is necessary to quit this addiction.
