Allergy: get away from loneliness

Children with food allergies are more likely to suffer from anxiety and feelings of loneliness: for fear of encountering a dangerous product, one in five allergic children never goes to children’s parties, and 23% are so afraid of eating something inappropriate that they hesitate to try new food *. Pediatrician Maria Antonella Muraro reminds parents that a lack of peer interaction and a life of constant worry can affect a child’s well-being no less than allergens.
