Allergy day: more than one in 4 French people affected

March 22, 2016, will be the 10th French allergy day. This is a real public health problem, since now, according to sources, between one in three French people and one in four French people is affected by an allergy.

 

In 2050, one in two people with allergies in the world?

And yet, one in three or four French people is nothing compared to forecasts. Some allergists believe that in less than ten years, one in two French people will be affected! Globally, it is by 2050 that allergies could affect one in two inhabitants of the planet.

Of course, not all allergies are created equal: skin redness is nothing compared to an anaphylactic shock, or an asthma attack. Nevertheless: the French allergy day aims to raise awareness among public authorities, like the French, of the risks induced by the development of allergies. The cause, of course, is the increase in the number of allergenic substances in food, clothing, beauty and cleaning products, paints, furniture, and of course, indoor and outdoor air. 

We must remove allergens from our environment

It is by providing information on allergens, and on the possibility of eradicating them, or limiting their effects, that the downward spiral can be stopped. The cause is important, because allergies, by developing, and by amplifying, worsen, and become more and more handicapping for those and those who suffer from it, when they do not put their life in danger, favoring the development of other pathologies …
