Allegra – purpose and dosage

Indications and dosage are described in the leaflet. It is an antihistamine drug. As for the drug Allegra, the properties contribute to the elimination of the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Indications for the use of Allegra:

treat hay fever symptoms such as sneezing, itchy nose, runny and stuffy nose, itchy and red eyes.

Dosage

Adults – 1 tablet daily, before a meal.

Children over 12 years of age – 1 tablet a day, before a meal.

The medicine should be washed down with water.

Allegra – contraindications

In the case of Allegra, the leaflet informs about contraindications to use. The preparation should not be taken:

1. in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation,
2. in pregnant and lactating women – without medical consultation.

Taking antacids containing aluminum and magnesium may influence the action of Allegra by reducing its absorption. Therefore, it is recommended to take the above-mentioned medicinal preparations with a two-hour interval.

Allegra – side effects

While using the drug, the following may occur: headache and dizziness, nausea, drowsiness and fatigue, difficulty sleeping, nervousness, diarrhea, itching, severe allergic reactions causing swelling of the face, lips, throat and tongue.
