A few days ago, a couple of raccoons were caught in a closed city bank in Redwood. The animal was noticed by a man who at that moment was withdrawing money from an ATM: behind the glass in the office he saw a stuffed raccoon. Looking closely, I realized that the “scarecrow” is moving and even pulls its paw to the box with macaroons. The man immediately called specialists.
Fortunately, animal rights activists managed to catch the striped hooligans.
“It’s not every day that our organization is called in to deal with a bank breach,” says animal rights activist Buffy Martin. – The managers let our rescuers into the building. After about ten minutes of chasing, we were finally able to drive the raccoons out into the street without any harm to them. But they really didn’t want to leave the premises ”.
Indeed, the raccoons really liked the bank. They instantly made a terrible mess: with their small, tenacious paws, they scattered papers, damaged and stained equipment, tore up all containers and boxes where something edible could be stored. But they didn’t steal anything. They will still have to work on their robbery skills!
According to zoodefenders, the animals entered the enclosed space from the roof.
“On the tree, we noticed dirty footprints. Therefore, we suspect that the animals climbed first on the tree, then on the roof. Then they somehow managed to get through the ducts and fell through the ceiling tiles to the floor, ”added Buffy.
