All-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects

On March 24-25, 2018, the regional (final) stage of the All-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects for the 2017-2018 academic year, initiated by the Sirius Educational Center together with the Ministry of Education of the Stavropol Territory and the Talent and Success Educational Foundation, was held in Stavropol. This is a large-scale event for high school students who are engaged in scientific or research activities. The regional operator of the competition in the Stavropol Territory was the Poisk Center for Gifted Children – one of the few institutions of additional education in the region, in which research and design work has been systematically carried out from the 3rd grade.

On March 24, 2018, a reception was held at the Leader Center for Continuing Education for the participants of this competition. The Center’s specialists conducted a business game StartUp for the children, during which high school students demonstrated their personal competencies, and the winners of the game received diplomas for effective project management based on design thinking.

And the very grand opening of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition of scientific and technological projects took place on March 25, 2018 in the Children’s Technopark “Quantorium” (Mikhailovsk). The participants of the competition came to congratulate the Minister of Education of the Stavropol Territory Evgeny Nikolaevich Kozyura, the rector of the NCFU Alina Afakoevna Levitskaya, the director of the Center for Gifted Children “Poisk” Anatoly Vasilyevich Zhigailov. The distinguished guests congratulated the children on their achievements in the field of scientific and technical research and design and wished them fruitful work.

According to the results of the municipal stage, the expert council consisting of scientists from universities of the region and representatives of partner enterprises selected 31 projects for protection in three areas: “Agro-industrial and biotechnology”, “Modern energy”, “Smart city and security”.

Among the 40 participants in the final stage, 17 winners were selected, from which the Expert Council of the Talent and Success Foundation will select the best, and the children will receive an invitation to participate in the scientific and technological educational program “Big Challenges” at the Sirius Educational Center (Sochi ), which will take place in July this year.

At the ceremonial closing of the regional stage, all participants received diplomas of winners or prize-winners of the Competition.
