What can I cook for dinner today to spend a minimum of time and do without a mountain of dirty dishes in the final? All housewives have to puzzle over this eternal question with enviable constancy. In reality, the situation is much simpler and the answer lies on the surface, more precisely, in a frying pan. We offer you a few simple recipes that can be executed in one frying pan, baking dish or saucepan and feed the whole family at once.
Classic in a frying pan
Potatoes with mushrooms and meat — a hearty dinner in a hurry in a frying pan, which is prepared elementary and leaves no chance of hunger. Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry 300 g of pork. We take 300 g of fresh small mushrooms and 100 g of bacon, cut the average onion into half rings, send everything to the frying pan. Mushrooms with bacon and onions will give juice, in which we will simmer the meat for 5-7 minutes.
When all the liquid has evaporated, and the onion becomes transparent, we lay 5-6 potatoes with large cubes. Mix all the ingredients and stand under the lid for 7-8 minutes. Then fry the potatoes as usual, stirring occasionally with a spatula, so that they are evenly covered with a golden crispy crust. At the very end, we salt it to taste and add your favorite dried or fresh herbs. Put a piece of butter, cover the pan with a lid and stand on low heat for 5 minutes. Such a dinner will be eaten with special gratitude.
Out of the fire and into the oven
What to cook for dinner in a frying pan and do with a moderate amount of calories? Chicken breast, rice and vegetables are the perfect combination for a hearty and healthy dinner. Only for its preparation we will need a frying pan with a removable handle.
Preheat the frying pan with 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Cut into large slices 400 g of chicken fillet, roll in a mixture of 2 tsp. paprika, a pinch of salt and nutmeg. Properly browning the pieces of meat from all sides, then spread on a plate.
In the remaining oil, we make a roast of onions and carrots. We return the chicken breast to the pan, pour 300 g of washed rice and fill it with water so that it slightly covers it. We bury several whole cloves of garlic in the rice, put salt and spices to taste. Removing the handle, put the pan in the oven at 200 °C and stand until all the liquid is absorbed. Then cover it with a lid and let it stand for 10 minutes. A perfectly balanced dinner in one pan is ready!
A pot of sea gifts
The baking pot is a real lifesaver, with which you can prepare a full-fledged dinner consisting of a hot dish and a side dish. Fish variations are especially refined in pots.
Cut into slices 500 g of fillet of any red fish. We cut 3-4 potatoes into small neat cubes, 2 narrow carrots-washers, an onion-half rings. We lubricate the bottom of the pots with butter, pour out the potatoes equally, season with coarse salt and black pepper. Next, spread the fish layer, sprinkle with lemon juice. We close everything with onion half-rings, put carrot mugs on top, salt and pepper to taste. Fill the pots with hot water, close the lid, put them in an unheated oven at 180 °C and stand for an hour. Before serving, sprinkle the fish pots with herbs and mix the contents.
It’s all about the pot
If you don’t want to fry anything, take a pot out of the cabinet. What to cook for dinner in it? Stuffed zucchini is a win-win option for all occasions.
The best filling was and remains minced meat from several varieties of meat, however, any other will do. In total, we will need 400-500 g of minced meat. We cut the onion head as small as possible. Beat the egg with a pinch of salt. Cut half of the tomato into small cubes. We add all this to the minced meat and knead it thoroughly. If you have some boiled rice in stock, you can put it too. We cut 3 zucchini into several parts. Carefully remove the pulp, trying not to damage the walls, so that the cups turn out. We fill them tightly with minced meat.
In a saucepan with a thick bottom, we make a passerovka of onions and carrots. We set the stuffed zucchini close to each other. Fill them with about a third of hot water and put 2-3 tablespoons of tomato paste. After a while, the zucchini with minced meat will let the juice and we will get a great sauce. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the zucchini over moderate heat for 40-45 minutes. Serve them hot, adding tomato sauce from the pan, grated hard cheese and any fresh herbs.
Dinner from the sleeve
The baking sleeve is another culinary invention that will help you cope with dinner simply and quickly. Chicken thighs and buckwheat are perfectly combined, and with this method of cooking, they are even better saturated with each other’s aromas and tastes.
Steam 300 g of washed cereals in boiling water for half an hour. Then we throw it into a colander to completely drain the excess liquid. Rub 5-6 chicken thighs with salt and spices for poultry, fry in a frying pan with oil until golden brown. Add the chopped onion and, stirring occasionally, fry for another 8-10 minutes.
We shift the swollen buckwheat with chicken and onion into the sleeve, tie it tightly around the edges, slightly shake the contents of the package. Do not forget to make several punctures in the sleeve. We put it in a baking dish and send it to a preheated 180 °C oven for 30-40 minutes. Serve the chicken with crumbly buckwheat and fresh herbs.
