Alize liqueur: history, composition, types

There is nothing more beautiful than the state of euphoria that you experience in the process of creating something new, unusual and in demand. It is possible that these feelings were experienced by Jean-Paul and Marie-Claude Lafrazhet when they worked on the creation of Alize liqueur. It was a completely new experience for them and the cognac house Lafragette. Although the fruit jams produced by the company are also not quite the usual product for a cognac brand.

A Brief History of Alize

The company for the production of one of the best cognacs in France was founded over 200 years ago, in 1814. The family also owns the company Chateau Loudenne, which specializes in creating fine wines from famous grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Cabernet Franc. But that is another story…

Although cognac and jams play an important role in the creation of fruit liqueurs. First, the producers decided to launch a line of youth cognac Alize. And it was he who, after his overwhelming success, pushed the business owners to one more, and as it turned out, a very successful experiment.

The first liqueur Alize Gold Passion was released in 1986. And already in 2007, among the liqueurs of the Alize line, there were 3 types of drink based on cognac and 2 types based on vodka.

An interesting fact is that in the mid-90s of the XX century, when the liquor entered the American market and made a splash there, famous rappers from New York “8-Off” and Mr.Cheeks wrote a song called “Alize For Dolo” , which praised this luxurious passionate drink.

To date, Lafragette House continues to produce and sell cognac products and elite wines. And for the production of liqueurs, the company L&L SAS was opened, which is directly involved in the manufacture and distribution of Alize products.

The secret of the production of Alize liqueur

For the production of liqueur, fresh fruit jam and first-class refined cognac spirits Lafragette are used.

The main feature of fruit drinks is that due to the high concentration of carefully selected fruits and the use of the best spirits, the drink does not leave sediment.

Also important is the fact that the liquor is 100% natural, and for some flavors instead of cognac premium French vodka is used.
