How to grow Aleshenkin grapes?

The grapes should be planted in the spring, after the frost has receded. In order to plant grapes on your site, you need to follow some rules:

  • Choose a sunny, warm and calm place for growing grapes, for example, near the walls of a house or other structure. This will protect the plant from drafts, and at night the stone walls will give off additional heat.
  • Prepare the soil for planting in the fall. Grapes do not like high humidity. If there is a lot of clay in the ground, then create a drainage layer. Peat soil must be diluted with sand, and sandy soil with compost or humus.
  • In the spring, 14 days before planting, dig up the soil to oxygenate and soften it.
  • Dig a hole so that you can straighten the roots in it.
  • Pour compost into the hole, add manure, potassium salt, wood ash and superphosphate. Fill well with water.
  • Place a peg in the center – a support for the seedling. Fill 1/3 of the hole with compost.
  • Place the seedling root system in the hole. If its roots are bare, then gently spread them in the ground.
  • Cover the seedling with soil so that 3 cm of the root collar remains above the soil surface.
  • Compact the ground and sprinkle with plenty of water.
  • Mulch the soil, use humus, straw or sawdust for this.

Planting is completed at this, after which the seedling should be abundantly watered for 3 days.

In the process of growing, take care of the grape bush – water it, feed it, cut off damaged branches, protect it from diseases and pests.
