Lovers of healthy food and lovers of a healthy lifestyle are increasingly abandoning the traditional way of cooking in favor of steamers and air ovens. Most often, meat and fish are cooked in an airfryer, but vegetables, including potatoes, are amazingly tasty in it.

Food in the airfryer is prepared using hot air currents. The peculiarity of the kitchen appliance is that you can cook healthy food without oil and fat, while retaining nutrients and trace elements. Cooking can be done on a timer, so there is no need to monitor the process.

There are also disadvantages to this household appliance. So, an airfryer, as a rule, has a very limited volume. Often it becomes a problem to prepare a meal for a family of 5–6 people. In addition, the cooking time in the airfryer is almost always longer than on a conventional stove, and the energy consumption is significant.

Convection oven is often called a convection oven.

However, all these shortcomings do not detract from the taste of the dishes that you can prepare while retaining the beneficial properties of the products. For example, young potatoes.

Young potatoes on the airfryer

Composition of the dish: – young potatoes in the skin – 1 kg,

– onion – 1 pc.,

– tomatoes – 2 pcs.,

– canned mushrooms – 200 g,

– salt and pepper to taste, – seasonings to taste, – olive oil or vegetable oil.

First you need to prepare the potatoes. It needs to be washed well, leaving a thin skin, and cut in half. It is unlikely that you will be able to use potatoes from last year’s harvest: over time, the peel of the potato thickens and becomes rough, while in the young it is thin and soft.

Peel and chop the onions into rings, then chop the tomatoes into large strips. Throw the canned mushrooms in a colander, and then cut into strips.

After that, you need to pour water into a saucepan, add salt and lower the potatoes there for 15 minutes so that the salt has time to be absorbed. Then put the potatoes, onions, tomatoes and mushrooms on the grill of the airfryer. Sprinkle everything with vegetable or olive oil. Season to taste. Bake at 200 ° C for about 30 minutes.

Decorate the finished dish with herbs and sprinkle with ground allspice. Best served with sour cream and garlic sauce.

Peel potatoes and dip in sour cream. Season with salt and add rosemary and black pepper. Wrap each potato individually in foil and place on the grill of the airfryer. Bake for 20-25 minutes. After turning off the grill, leave the potatoes to simmer for another 10 minutes, then remove the finished dish with tongs.

Rosemary is very scented, so don’t put too much of it in the dish.

It turns out very tasty. if the potatoes prepared in this way are cut in half, put a piece of butter on each wedge and sprinkle a little with grated cheese.
