Aichrizon: features of home care

The most important thing in keeping this plant at home is proper watering. It should be moderate so that there is no stagnation of water at the roots. From this, the flower can get sick and die.

Aichrizon home belongs to the group of succulents

In order for him to feel good and develop correctly, you need to create the most optimal conditions for him:

  • in the summer it will not be hurt by the heat, 25 ° C is an excellent temperature for him. The main thing is that he does not stand in the sun, direct sunlight can leave burns on the leaves. In winter, a decrease to 10 ° C is normally tolerated, but it should not be sharp, as well as a rapid increase in degrees – the drops are harmful for him;
  • watering should be regular, but not plentiful. In winter, this procedure becomes completely rare. If the leaves are fleshy and springy when pressed, then the plant does not need water yet;
  • dry air is well tolerated; there is no need to spray or wipe the foliage. During heating period, keep it away from heaters and radiators;
  • it is unpretentious to the soil, but the most correct choice is a mixture of turf soil with sand and humus, it is useful to add a little coal to it. There must be drainage at the bottom of the pot so that excess water does not stagnate.

Fertilizers need to be applied in the spring-summer period 1-2 times a month. We use special feed for succulents with a low nitrogen content.
