“Agidel” is a Bashkir balsam, which managed to become a gastronomic attraction of the republic. The healing drink strengthens the cardiovascular system and has a beneficial effect on sleep. It is based on more than two dozen fragrant herbs, roots and spices. It is interesting that this balm is bought not only for its therapeutic effect, but also because of the original design – Agidel is bottled in ceramic bottles and sealed with sealing wax.
The history of Bashkir balms
The manufacturer of the Agidel balm, the joint-stock company Bashspirt, is one of the largest taxpayers in the region. The company annually produces 19 million liters of alcohol of the highest categories “Lux” and “Alpha”, from which it produces vodka, tinctures and balms. The state unitary enterprise traces its history back to the 1920s and currently produces only biologically pure products without dyes and artificial additives. Bashspirt products are sold in forty Russian regions and have won medals at international competitions more than once.
“Bashspirt” is famous for its balms, which the company has been producing for several decades. A line of five brands was created by the technologists of the plant, taking into account the old Bashkir recipes. The most important components of each of the drinks are honey and propolis, which these regions are famous for. Enterprises produce balms only from natural ingredients – infusions and fruit drinks from fruits and berries growing in the central zone of Russia, as well as medicinal herbs.
Thoughtful compositions make Bashkir balms truly healing. Fragrant drinks are recommended to be taken as a medicine – in small doses they normalize blood pressure, strengthen the immune system, and improve sleep. A characteristic feature of balms is the absence of bitterness and alcohol sharpness. Despite the high strength of 45% by volume, they are easy to drink and have a pleasant harmonious taste.
Features of the production of balm “Agidel”
Bashkir balsam “Agidel” is made from alcohol “Lux”. The alcohol production of the holding is located in Sterlitamak. The raw materials are durum wheat and rye, which the company purchases from agricultural enterprises in the region. Alcohol undergoes multi-stage filtration, and finished products are checked by our own laboratory. The plant produces alcohol, where harmful impurities are a hundred times less than allowed by GOST.
Alcohol insist on a mixture of 23 herbal ingredients, which include calamus root, oregano, angelica, buckthorn bark, motherwort, pine buds and wormwood. Dry raw materials are crushed and poured with ethanol diluted to a strength of 50%. Making a tincture takes 25 days. Propolis is macerated in several stages and then added to the blend.
Separately, fruit drinks are prepared from apples, strawberries, chokeberries, rose hips and orange peel, natural honey is added for sweetness. All components are mixed in strictly defined proportions, citric acid is added. A rich color is given to the balm with the help of a natural color scheme. Then the blend is left for 12 hours for complete assimilation of flavors and aromas, filtered and bottled.
How to drink Agidel balm
The red-brown balm has a thick consistency and a rich honey-herbal aroma, where alcohol is not felt at all. Due to the high strength, it is not recommended to drink it separately. For medicinal purposes, the drink is taken one teaspoon after a meal.
Agidel balm:

- prevents the development of inflammatory processes.
After long walks in the cold, a cup of coffee or tea with the addition of a few teaspoons of a strong fragrant drink will warm you well.
“Agidel” will give an original taste to mulled wine – for 100 ml of balm you will need a bottle of dry red wine, an orange, a lemon, half an apple, a little cinnamon and nutmeg. All components are mixed and heated over a fire, but do not boil. Then the drink should be allowed to infuse for 10 minutes, and you can start tasting.
