Due to the flood in Małopolska, there has been no increase in the number of infectious diseases and food poisoning cases – said Anna Armatys, spokeswoman for the Provincial Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Krakow on Friday.
She added that the Małopolska Provincial Sanitary Inspector, however, calls for caution and compliance with basic hygiene rules.
In the areas affected by the flood, the destruction is being removed. Residents are given well disinfectants and leaflets with information on the basic rules of hygiene, rules for dealing with water, food and methods of cleaning flooded and flooded buildings.
As reported by the Department of Health, the water intake and water supply in Košice are still closed. The water supply to Rzezawa in the area of Bochnia. Due to the landslides, part of the water supply system in the Lanckorona commune was damaged. Drinking water is delivered in barrels or in bottles to: Rzezawa, Kęty, Koszyce, Lanckorona, Biskupice and Gdów.

The Provincial Sanitary Inspector decided that in those farms where the wells are the only source of water supply after disinfection, water quality tests will be carried out free of charge, Armatys told PAP.
During the flood, seven cemeteries were flooded throughout the voivodeship. The necropolises in Brzeszcze, Dobczyce, Radziszów, Wola Rogowska, Rzepiennik Strzyżewski, Jadowniki Mokre and Wola Przemykowska were flooded. There is no need to carry out exhumations at any of these cemeteries, Armatys said.
Some of the cemeteries have already been disinfected, others are slowly falling as water and cleaning works will begin in the coming days.
