Aflavic – action, indications, dosage, contraindications, side effects

Aflavic is used to treat symptoms associated with venous insufficiency in the lower extremities, such as a feeling of heaviness in the legs, leg pain and ailments associated with haemorrhoids. Treatment with the preparation should be symptomatic and short-term.

Aflavic – indications and dosage

Aflavic is a preparation that strengthens capillaries. It is used as:

  1. treatment of symptoms associated with venous insufficiency of the lower extremities, such as a feeling of heaviness in the legs, leg pain. Orally. 1 tablet / day, in the morning, on an empty stomach,
  2. symptomatic treatment of exacerbation of ailments related to haemorrhoids. Orally. 2-3 tablets / day during meals.

Aflavic and contraindications

A contraindication to the use of Aflavic is hypersensitivity to any of its ingredients.

Aflavic – warnings

  1. It should be remembered that treatment with Aflavic is only symptomatic and should be short-term.
  2. If during the treatment the symptoms related to haemorrhoids do not disappear or worsen, a proctological examination is recommended.
  3. People with hereditary disorders of galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or malabsorption of glucose-galactose should not use the preparation.
  4. There are no data on the safety of use of Aflavic in pregnant and breastfeeding women. The preparation can be used in pregnant women only after consulting a doctor and only if absolutely necessary.
  5. It is recommended to avoid breastfeeding while taking the preparation.
  6. There are no studies on the effect of the preparation on the ability to drive motor vehicles.

Aflavic – interactions

There are no known interactions of Aflavic with other drugs.

Aflavic – side effects

While taking Aflavic, the following may occur: diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, dizziness and headache, malaise, rash, itching, hives. Treatment discontinuation is not required in the case of mild gastrointestinal side effects and neurovegetative disorders.
